One ambulance ride,2 trauma units, one Pediatric ICU

Hugs, prayers and PD on their way to all of you!

Please keep us posted as you can..

I wish I lived closer to help you & DH out but instead, I'll say a prayer and send my best wishes for his full and speedy recovery. Be sure to take care of yourselves also.

Oh my gosh, how awful and scary!!!!!!!!! I'm glad he's in good hands...hugs to you and your family!

Oh no!!! Sending prayers and a ton of pixie-dust for you all. It will get better soon.

Thank you all so much for the kind words. He was moved from ICU to a regular floor late yesterday, and is doing much better. He will be in the hospital through the weekend at least. I'm off to the hospital as soon as my daughter gets on the school bus. His team mates have been great, and of course Ian can't wait to get back in his uniform-but he knows that he'll be cheering his team from the bench for the rest of the season. I think the hardest part will be curtailing his physical activity until he heals. This is a kis who would play baseball all day if he could, and when he's not playing baseball he's playing Ultimate Frisbee, basketball, riding his bike, hiking with his Boy scout troop, well, you get the picture. I'll let everyone know how he's doing-thanks everyone!

Oh Jean....so sorry to hear this. Did they transfer him to Boston? Hoping he recovers soon so he can help you on the campaign trail! ;) Pixie dust to you and your family! :wizard:

Oh my goodness! How scary!
So glad hes out of the woods. Prayers & Pixie Dust on the way!

Sending prayers and PD for a speedy recovery!!

Prayers for your son and best wishes for a swift and speedy recovery. :D

Oh my goodness! :( Good thoughts going out to your DS!!!!!

Jill

Best wishes for Ian for a quick and full healing. Tough to hold an energetic kid like that back at all. Hope he is out soon, cheering from the sidelines for a bit, but back at it soon himself. Prayers, good wishes.'s

Just did the "shift change" with my DH. Poor Ian:( He lost a lot of blood, so on top of the pain, he is just completely wiped out. The doctors are going to run more tests tomorrow to see how his spleen is healing. Even though he out weighs me by quite a bit, and towers over me by about 5" he's still my little boy. We should know more tomorrow afternoon. Thanks again for all the kind words and good wishes- Ian was so happy to hear he has so many people wishing him well!
