This will be our third trip to the world without dad, who is deployed. The girls and I usually stay at Fort Wilderness with our travel trailer but have decided thats too much for me to do being 20 weeks pregnant without any help. So we are staying at Shades of Green for the first time. We've always had the trailer so its been real easy to pack and I'm not even sure how to go about packing a suitcase for the World! It looks like we will be driving since flying is 3 times the cost. Any suggestions for any or all of our variables would be much appreciated!

So your scenario is describing me in a month on my way to Disney, but I will have my husband there. My kids will be 2 1/2 and 5, and I will be 26 weeks into my pregnancy.
So we drive from NJ every year. We drive mainly overnight so they kids are asleep. I am not sure how far you are driving, but if by yourself and far you may want to do day driving.
So we usually pack 3 suitcases.... 1 for the adults (all our clothing and bathroom stuff), 1 for the kids (clothing, blankies, diapers if needed), and the last 1 is activities (pool toys/swimmies, coloring books, baby dolls, books, light spinners for the park, play little people etc). (The smaller things that can be used in the car on child's lap I split in half for car and hotel)
Oh and don't forget movies for the car!!
We also bring juice boxes and snacks.... we make sure these are available for the car ride, but we are sure to bring enough for the week at the parks too. You are allowed a soft cooler into the parks and we always go with plenty of snacks and drinks

We go to parks in the morning and leave them by 3 for the day OR we go after nap around 3 and stay for the night. This makes everything move at a slower pace for us. Especially by yourself I would aim for this type of scenario.

What else do you have questions about.... I tried to be general.

I've been as a solo parent and it is tough, but doable. I highly recommend Kid's Nite Out - as a sitter or a mother's helper. I asked for someone who had a park pass and she was able to come into the park with me. We traded kids so I got 1 to 1 time with each -- and for a few minutes twice during the day I was totally alone. Okay, she watched them at the playground once while I went to the restroom (but did you catch that it was ALL BY MYSELF?) and then later she took the kids to find a table in the foodcourt area of the Land at Epcot while I went to order food for all of us and bring it back to the table. But those two little breaks seemed like golden moments. Her 5 to 6 hours of help were worth every penny.

I'd be most worried about the drive -- especially the drive home. Is there no family friend, college age cousin, etc. that might go along? I took my teenage niece with me on last year's spring break trip with 2 and 7 year old and can't imagine how I would have made it on that drive back home without her. I was WORN OUT.
