The CMs:
Me (21)- Obviously big Disney fan lol- especially love the Villains, Nightmare Before Christmas and Lilo & Stitch. Second time at DLP and kind of a very belated 21st celebration for me.
DM- Also Disney fan especially of Mickey. Loves collecting Disney Traditions. Also second time at DLP.
DG- Another Disney fan escpecially of Mickey and Minnie. Also second time at DLP.
We are staying at the Newportbay Club hotel for 5 nights and 6 days on the Admirals floor. First time there.
Monday 8th Sept- Day 2:
We got up- well if you can call it that after having no sleep LOL and had breakfast booked for 9.30am. There was a great selection of bread rolls, pastries, yoghurts, hams, cheeses, cereals, fruit etc. I had some fruit salad but left it because it tasted a bit too bitter lol. The breakfast areas in NPB are lovely though (the restaurants). Really nice and cheerful and bright.
From breakfast we had a look around outside around the lake and had a lovely walk.
I saw the balloon was up and running so I took the opportunity and went straight up on it. It was great, it was a little misty that morning but I still had a great view. DM and DG sat below waiting lol. I really enjoyed it though and would recommend it.
I went in the Buffalo Trading shop in the village and tried a cowboy hat on and just as I did, one of the CM’s came up and pointed the toy gun at me! LOL.
From here we had planned to visit the Val d’Europe shopping centre to go to the Auchen supermarket. We tried finding the free shuttle bus but couldn’t see it and the people we asked didn’t help either so we just ended up getting the RER train which was only 9 euros return for 3 people!
We got to the shopping centre and the weather was lovely and hot. We had a wonder around some of the shops and the Animal backpack i had with me was crippling me already LOL. So I managed to find a lovely Ripcurl backpack which was SO good and made it through the rest of the holiday. It was much more comfortable. Anyways we got the the supermarket and the alcohol wasn’t worth buying so we just ended up buying loads of fruit! LOL. Ooh and I got some really tiny bananas! They were SO cute, I’ve never seen them like that before.
Time to head back and we got on the train, got off at the station- put our tickets through the machine and the barrier wouldn’t move! We couldn’t get through to get out. Turns out we got the wrong train and even though we only went one stop like before, it was the wrong station and we had to get on the other side of the tracks to get the train back but to do that we had to get through the barriers which we couldn’t so we had to press the emergency button to get them to open the doors for us LMAO. Typical!
So after a little while we on the other side of the track and got the proper train back to where we should of been LOL. From there we went back to our hotel and got changed because it was getting hotter- it was about 2pm by now.

Time to go to the parks!!! Wooooooooo. We headed to the Disneyland Park and went straight to the City Hall to book a meal for Wednesday night at Cafe Mickey which was no problem but then we also went to book for Agrabah or the Lucky Nugget Saloon but they close too early for the time we wanted to eat so we had to leave those.
We had a good wonder and browse up main street in the shops. It was getting late so we decided to get something to eat and passed the Plaza Gardens so went in there and got seated straight away. I’ve always wanted to go in there and it was lovely! Good selection too and DM really enjoyed it here.

After the Plaza Gardens it was almost time for the Candleabration to start but I wasn’t going to watch it properly until the next night or so, so that I could get a good spot for photos but as it happens we were near the castle and saw Mickey waiting inside for it to start and he was playing around with the CM’s and then Minnie. It was so sweet and fun to watch.
We strolled around for a little more and then headed out back to the hotel and as we were coming out I saw Mickey waving goodbye which I never noticed last time I was there so I took some pics of it. I think its so sweet and such a nice touch to the end of the day.
On the way back to the hotel we walked around the lake again which is gorgeous and we spent the rest of the night looking in the hotel shop and chilling in our room... and me posing with my cool new Toy Story Alien teddy!!

Im suprised we didnt panic really! I guess we were only 1 stop away though, it was quite funny and typical to happen to us.
