Once Upon a Christmastime! A Nov. 2010 PTR! *Update 12/12, Disney Blues, pg 61! :( *

Hey, 90 days is still pretty darn good! ;)

I think that switching Chefs from Saturday to Friday is a good idea. That way your are not overwhelmed with ADRs on Saturday. I think if you eat Chefs that early you will still have plenty of room for some F&W treats! :)

Congrats on the .5 pounds! Being able to not only keep off what you've lost but lose a bit more is awesome!

I say go for Boma for breakfast! That juice sounds yummy... We are doing Boma for dinner one night because John really wants to see AKL.

I think doing Chef's on Friday is a good idea too, but now I REALLY hope our room is ready early since we have a 4:40 ADR! I might go back and check to see if there is something around 5 just to give us some time, but you can be late for ADR's right? :rotfl:

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with losing .5 pounds...I've lost 3 weeks in a row now, so I guess I'm doing something right! I just want to see a difference now, I'm getting impatient! :rotfl: I have to start doing some Pilates and crunches and stuff, that should speed up my metabolism a little! :)

I know, I hear so much about this juice at Boma, I can't wait to try it! I considered doing dinner but I didn't know where I'd fit it in, breakfast works better for us, but doesn't AKL looks so beautiful? :lovestruc I can't wait to see it in person, you will have to let me know how dinner is for next time!

Yay for 90 days again! LOL!

LOL thanks! I can't believe I did that, I was just so excited on the 12th, I just assumed "finally, I'm at 90 days!!!" that I just didn't even think to actually count the days! Oh well! :rotfl: :cool1:

:lmao: Goof :) That's why I like the countdown on my iPod, it does the counting for me :teeth: I just have to open it and it tells me. Today's 69 days! :rolleyes1

Absolutely do Boma...I went in kicking and screaming that I wouldn't like anything and ended up enjoying it although I can't tell ya what I had.

And congrats  on the .5 lbs.....it's .5 more than nothing!

I love the new plans!

I've heard Boma is FANTASTIC and I might be biased since I'm so excited about AKL, but I think giving yourself some time to look around the resort is a great idea!

BTW, I owe you an email, I know!! I'm hoping to write you back Monday morning! :lovestruc

LOL I know, I know, I'm ridiculous! I just got so excited the other day over 90 days! I should have known, because before you added your extra day, we were exactly 20 days apart, and I noticed that I was a lot closer to your days, but I didn't really think anything of it. :confused3 Well, today is officially 89 days now! :rotfl: :cool1:

If you go here: http://www.magicalmountain.net/wdwcountdownclock/disney-countdown-clock.aspx They have a Disney Countdown clock that you can add to your computer. I used it for my trip & the lower right hand corner always told me how many days, hours, mins & seconds until we left for our trip!

Thanks, I will definitely get that, that sounds great! :) Although I'm afraid I'm going to constantly be staring at it and wishing the time would go faster!

Thanks for the info about Boma! :cool1: It sounds like it would be great, and like I said, I like the breakfasts with the omelet stations!

And thanks about the weight loss...it's definitely better than nothing! Or gaining! :cool1: :rotfl:

Thanks, they're not definite yet, but I'm going to to the disney website after here and try to figure it all out with ADR's and everything!

AKL is a huge reason I want to do Boma!! I'm sure Boma is great and everything, but I can't wait to see AKL! I really want to stay there for my next trip! Not sure if it's possible, unless someday I get a gmail account and you can finally tell me how to rent DVC points! :rotfl:

And don't worry about the email, I know your busy studying and everything, take your time!! :goodvibes

Well I made all the changes I was talking about!

Friday, 11/12-Dinner at Chef's at 4:40

Saturday, 11/13-Breakfast at Boma, 7:40

Bomascene.jpg

I know 7:40 might be a little early, but our only other choice was 8:25. I wanted time to look around AKL for a while

Frontoflobby.jpg

and then still have enough time to make it over to Animal Kingdom for the morning, so I went with the 7:40 ADR. DH probably won't be happy about that but oh well!!! :rotfl: ;)

I also made an ADR at Fulton's on Wednesday 11/17 at 8:30 for dinner. He really wants to eat there and I don't know where else to fit it in. I wanted to do AK evening magic hours that night but I guess we could leave by 7:30 and make it to Fulton's in an hour. Not sure if I will keep this yet or move it, but I just wanted to have the ADR. :)

In other news...my ear hurts. :sad1: It started yesterday, it felt like there was water or something in it, and now it hurts and I'm afraid I have an ear infection. Which means I'll probably end up going to the stupid walk in at some point. Ughhhh...I don't want to go! My DH is telling me to just pour some peroxide in because that's what he always does but I don't think that's a good idea! Maybe it will just stop hurting, I hate going to the doctor!!!

Happy Sunday everyone! :)

yay for the adrs!!!

sorry about your ear :( I never had ear troubles till I went to college and ever since then it will bug me! I think what your DH means by the peroxide is that when you are at the DR and they "flush" your ear (if it's clogged) to see for an infection, that's what they use mixed with warm water. I'll unclog mine from time to time to save a co-pay and then if it gets worse then I'll go to the DR. Sometimes that's all that you need to have done and other times you need that plus meds for an infection.

Good luck!

Getting caught up on everything but YAY for less than 90 days!

Yay for changing your ADRs! I'm hoping that I'll leave mine alone now :lmao:

I do agree with TinkerbellLuvr about your ear, though. The first thing the doctor would do would be to flush it with a peroxide-water solution, so if you want to save yourself a trip to the doctor, I'd try that out. I'm not sure about the proportions, but I bet you could find it online. Just google 'home remedy for ear infection' or something like that. :flower3: I hope you feel better soon!

I don't know what's up with my ear, it was ok yesterday, it never got any worse, but now it feels like the other one hurts too!!! And they're not clogged or anything, they just hurt, it's annoying. If it keeps up all day I'll have to go to the walk in after work. I'm too afraid to try flushing it out myself. And my DH doesn't mix peroxide with water, he just pours straight peroxide in his ears if they get clogged and he says it clears them right up. :confused3 :rotfl:

Yay! And I'm actually really under 90 days this time! :rotfl2: I'm hoping to go somewhere on my break today and buy some stuff to make a countdown calendar!

LOL, I'm sure I will change a few things before my trip again, I have almost 3 months still, so I know in a few weeks I'll start playing around with things again!

Thanks for the advice about my ear, but like I said, I'm too afraid to do any home remedies on myself with my ears! I've had ear infections before (when I started this job 3 and half years ago, I got ear infections all the time, and they were awful!) and that's not what this feels like, it's more of an annoying pain...and it almost seems like there is water or something in my right ear. Who knows? I hate going to the doctor but I don't want to leave this for much longer and have it get worse! :sad2:

Have a great Monday everyone! :yay:

I love your ADRs! :lovestruc Ever since my nasty lunch that I took to work today (cold greasy leftover pizza) I have been daydreaming of Disney dining all day... My kids caught me zoning out while they were working. I told them I was dreaming of cheddar cheese soup! :rotfl:

I'm sorry to hear about your ear! I hope it feels better soon!

I'm glad that Boma ADR is going to give you some time to explore AKL! It's such a beautiful resort. :cloud9: And I can't wait to hear what you think about Fulton's. I think it would be neat to eat on the big boat. :lmao:

So sorry to hear about your ear! I went through a period in high school where I had multiple ear aches and it was awful! I hope you feel better! :goodvibes

LOL, I daydream about Disney alllllllll day! :rotfl: It doesn't matter where I am or what I'm doing, it basically has consumed my mind at this point! I don't know what I'm going to do when I come home in November and I really have no trip to look forward to, DH is pretty adamant about not going next year...we'll see...I have to go for a long weekend at least! :rotfl:

I can't wait to see AKL! I've only seen pictures of it, so I can't imagine what it's going to be like to see it in person!

So I TRIED to go to the walk in after work for my ear...but I go in and the waiting room was full of people. By this time it's already after 6pm and they're only open til 7:30 so there was no way I was wasting my night there.

Today it doesn't seem to hurt as bad...so now I don't know what to do, if I should try to go again or not. I probably should just in case there is some type of infection, because it does feel a little clogged but I don't want to deal with the walk in!!!

I know, fascinating, hearing about my ear troubles! I bought everything I need for my countdown calendar, which I'm going to start tonight! I'll post pictures of it when it is finished, I hope it turns out ok, it might look like a huge mess...I'm not very crafty, but I'm going to try! :cool1:

Glad you got your Boma ressie and one at Fulton's too. Two of our favorite places. I'm sorry about your ear. Did you try just using some ear drops? My DH often gets a wax build up which gives him a really bad earache and the drops and cleaning out with a q-tip does help. I hope you don't have to go back to the walk in.

I'm glad you like Boma, I think it's going to be great! :cool1: I'm sure Fulton's is going to be great too, I never hear anything about it, but I'm guessing it's because it's not on the dining plan. :confused3

I went to a different walk in, in the town my DH used to live. I was the only one there so it took no time at all, but it turns out, I do have an ear infection! I don't understand how, I'm not sick at all, and when I was getting them all the time 3 years ago, it was because I was getting colds all the time. I haven't been sick in months. Now of course, I'm paranoid that I'm going to get them all the time. :sad2: I hope it's just a freak thing. :confused3 But I'm on antibiotics for 10 days and hopefully it will get better soon.

Hi everyone! I finally made my countdown calendar, and I thought I'd show you guys!

IMG_1304.jpg

:rotfl:

It's just poster board with a post it pad glued to it! Writing the numbers was a pain because I was trying not to bend the pieces of paper too much. And I'm not happy with the lettering, because it's not centered. I thought about doing it over, but those letters were expensive  and it's my first attempt, maybe my next one will be a little better! Most of the pictures I used are from our past trips except for a few that I borrowed from wdwinfo.com! :cool1: It's definitely not the best countdown calendar on the DIS, but it will serve it's purpose! And I can't wait to rip each page off every morning, that's going to make me so happy! :rotfl2:

Have a great night! :goodvibes

 Sorry you have an ear infection....they are no fun. I hope it is not a recurring thing either. And I love the countdown calendar.

OMG I LOVE IT!!! It's so cute! I wish I had thought of something like that!

And I know I'm a few days late, but for the record, I used to get wicked ear aches when I was younger because I practically lived in our pool over the summer. I was the epitome of swimmer's ear. My ENT actually recommended pouring a capful of rubbing alcohol in my ears after I was done swimming, let it bubble all the way in, then just tip my head and dump it out. His explanation was that the alcohol actually helps to dry up the water and it works! I still use it to this day and I haven't had an ear ache since! That was probably 15 years ago now!
