Anyone know off hand what the restrictions are these days with transferring your OBB discount? I know there are blackout dates/sailings and there is a limit to how far off you can apply the OBB discount to... is it 2 years from the date of booking? Less?

We are on the alaska sailing 6/13-20... if we booked on that cruise, until when would the OBB discount be valid?

thx!

You must begin the (future) cruise within 24 months of the original placeholder booking date (onboard the ship). Here's a calculator to help you figure out what date that would be:

You can apply an OBB to any cruise, but if the cruise you select is a block out one, you will only get the OBC perk, not the reduced deposit/reduced fare perks.

first, Hello PRINCESSSHMOO!!!! long time no chat!! :)

second - what is an OBC perk???

third - great it's 24 months. for some reason i had it in my head that it had changed to 18 months.

OnBoard Credit. Doing an onboard booking you can get $100 OBC for cruises of less than 7 nights, and $200 OBC for cruises 7 nights and longer.

It was 18 months for a while (and the cruise had to be completed within that 18 months), but it changed back to 24 months about a year ago.

It was 18 months...

And don't see a PERK if you move to a blackout. That's why they call it a 'BLACK OUT!' ;) You have for all intents wasted your discounts.

My understanding is that if you use a OBB for s concierge stateroom, you only get then $100/$200 stateroom credit and no discount or reduced deposit. In this situation blackout dates don't matter.
