They are showing the parade on Michigan Avenue (in Chicago), where Mickey turns on the lights on the street as his float goes by. They are also doing segments from WDW. I just told DH we should go to the parade next year (since we are only 2 hours away.

It is so very pretty down there at this time of the year. I have never been to the opening, too crowded for me. But I do enjoy seeing it during the season.

I am watching it right now. Sure is exciting!!!! I sure love all the Christmas lights. Seeing Mickey is such a thrill too!!!

Too cold for us to venture downtown this year especially since we'll be at WDW beginning 11/25 for two weeks!!!!

My brother called about 5 pm, they were right in front of Crate and Barrell...said it was so warm and mild they could not believe it! We were supposed to go but DD decided to go on a church retreat instead. (Right outside Bloomington in Manville,Coll0610.. shes by you and you wnat to be here, we are 40 miles from Chicago) Tons of families down there and the fireworks are so cool too! I am so bummed we didn't go, especially after he called...sounded SO festive! I hope they rebroadcast the parade on the news!

We went last year and it was great. (we are about 30 min outside chicago) They do a show by the Tribune Building (a 20 min show) and then at night a parade.

We should have gone again this year but it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO crowded its really crazy for the parade.
