Maya Angelou was born Marguerite Johnson in St. Louis, MO. Somewhere during her varied and busy life as a poet, author, educator, actress, and activist, Maya Angelou found time to record the narration for the Hall of Presidents attraction. She is credited as narrator of that attraction from 1993 until 2001. You can hear her narration in the video below:
