Yes, I agree...I read that too. But I don't go by the "cost" of the meal if it is worth or not. I'd rather choose on the service and the quality of the food I'm getting and the Plaza is a winner in both categories for us.

Love that place!!! They have by far, the best club sandwich I've ever had. I have lunch there each time I visit the MK and this past October I ate there twice!!

We hit it twice on our first trip and will go back twice again next month. The salads are great too. The boys LOVED the special kids desserts - the Mickeylodeon sundae and the cookies with the cutest little tea cup of milk.

We had Carlos as our server both times - absolutely awesome! The second time we asked for an extra cherry on the sundae so that my youngest who had the cookies could have one too. He brought out a whole plate of them!

We just tried the Plaza for the first time on our most recent trip and it was awful. Very cramped as far as seating, waitress definitely rushed us, food was awful.

I think we might give it another try someday, but did not have a good first experience there. Maybe we just ate there on an "off" day, most reviews seem positive!

I've had Carlos a few times myself. He is not only an attentive server, but he's a nice person. Since I usually eat there alone (I take a trip each year alone. It's my "Mommy" only trip) he doesn't rush me and always makes me feel very comfortable.

We're in the minority with you.

The meal took forever, our cheesesteaks were dry, our waitress mostly ignored us, and the whipped cream on our desserts fell completely flat. We'll probably give it another shot at some point, but we won't be using a Table Service credit, and we'll be visiting (and re-visiting) other places first.

ETA: Our theory is that we went in expecting it to totally rock because of all the great reviews it gets, and it just didn't live up to the hype for us on this particular day. I'm glad other people enjoy it, though.

You know it's funny. I had the same thing happen to me at Chef's de France. I read all these wonderful reviews about the food, service, atmosphere....you get the idea. And when I went there I had the worse dining experience I've ever had at WDW.

My DH LOVES the reuben (the only reason he didn't have it this time is because he had the reuben at SciFi two days earlier) and the grilled chicken sandwich; I've had the tomato soup, the cheeseburger and the Turkey Club--all very yummy. This past trip we both had the Plaza Club and the meat was very fresh and tasty, the fries the best in all of Disney and also love the chips. And be sure to save room for dessert. We've always enjoyed the plaza. It is a tradition that we eat there on our last day in MK. We don't use a TC but it is worth it. The sandwiches are great and you can't beat their desserts (best in MK). We are going in Jan. and already have our ADR made for there.

I loved the cheese steak (minus the mushrooms), DH the burger and the reuben. All of us loved the ice cream sundaes LOL

We have never eaten at the Plaza before, so hearing all of the positive reviews is helpful! We have ADRs for January, and I cannot wait! Quick question, does anyone know what kind of birthday cake I can get there for my DS and DH's birthday?

This past trip we both had the Plaza Club and the meat was very fresh and tasty, the fries the best in all of Disney and also love the chips.

Love, love, love that Turkey Club. I usually get it with the chips and I have to tell you, the chips are always fresh; never soggy or greasy!
