We are going to WDW in April. We will be on the DDP (first time). I have our ADR's for dinner but I have been checking our the children's menu's for CS. There is nothing my kids will eat on the children's menu. My kids will probably eat pizza only. I know some CS hav a small cheese pizza for $5. Will we be able to get them a pizza for their CS meals? They are such picky eaters (won't even eat chicken nuggets and cheeseburgers, they will eat french fries though). I think when we do buffets they will be OK but CS will be tough. Any advice? Linda

If the kids are on the dining plan, and the CS place has a children's menu, you'll be able to use the kids' credits only for meals on the children's menu. If they will only eat pizza, you can buy them a pizza if it is only on the regular menu, or you can use the adult credits to get the pizza and give it to the kids, but you will have to give up the adult credits. You may have to keep an eye out for CS establishments that have pizza on the children's menu.

Pizza Planet at MGM has no separate children's menu. Everyone on the dining plan orders off the same menu. It might be worth stopping by for you.

You can also ask at other CS locations if they will allow you to have pizza for children's credits, but be prepared for them to say no.

well what do they like to eat? Tell us and we'll help you find it if it exists in Disney.

I went through this on our last trip in November. Most meals at CS are big enough to split. So you and DH can split one and the kids the other. I also ate my share of kids CS some my 9yo could have mine. The CS at the resorts is better then in the parks, IMHO, so i tried to plan around that. You can also use you snack credits as well. Example at FTB they have a "side" of fries. Also remember you can ask for a bottle of water instead of dessert which is more value then the same chocoalte cake in the plastic container. At the resorts the desserts are decent. My kids also had many fruit cups that helped, which also can be an adult dessert at the resort CS.

When we went last month we ran into the same issue with our kids and the CS meals. What ended up working best for us was to use our CS credits on breakfast in the food court, using a snack credit for a light lunch and eating an early dinner.

A couple more options: Use the kids' CS credits for breakfasts for everyone to share, and use the adult CS credits for lunches for everyone to share. (There's less difference between adult and child meals at breakfast than there is at lunch). If you're still hungry (and you probably won't be), a couple of snack credits would probably keep you going until dinner.

Some DISers have reported being able to use kids' CS credits at hot dog carts, where they only have one or two items, so no separate kids' menu.

And DisOrBust is right, the resort food courts generally have a more varied selection (for adults and kids) than the parks do so, depending on your schedule, you may want to consider planning most lunches at your (or any other resort's) food court.

We also found that we were happy to split 2A lunches between the four of us. My younger ds is a fan of the m&c and the nuggets so if they are available, I get 1C meal for him and either 1 or 2A meals for me, dh and older ds. When we plan on a larger sit down meal for dinner and maybe a snack in the later afternoon, having a not so big lunch works for us. We also might use a CS credit for breakfast for all of us and I might purchase a piece of fruit OOP to supplement.

A good CS place for kids is inside Disney Quest, if you'll be visiting here at all. We took our niece her last week and were able to get pizza with a child's credit or a burger or chicken tenders or a hotdog all with fries and a large desert of our choice w/ drink.
