On site stay—parking and ILL on day one?

We are making a Disney trip in a few days. Staying on site for the first time in forever.

We are staying at Univeral the night before our first day. (The 12th into 13th). Checking into AKL on the 13th.

I’d like to go straight to HS that morning from my universal room. Will i get free parking? I suspect I’d have to check in first?

More importantly, will we be able to go in early for early hours. THAT day before checking in ? And can we make individual lightning lane at 7? This’ll be our only chance at Rise of Resistance.

Theoretically, that should all work if you do the pre-arrival online checkin process. If it works as it should, you'll be registered as an AKL guest even without your room being ready. You should be able to go into your reservation online to do the checkin now. Unfortunately, the Disney tech doesn't always work consistently - but hope this does work for you.

As above, if you do online checkin you should be able to enter the parking lot for free and also enter the park for ETPE. They should be able to scan your MB to confirm you're checking in that day (you're considered a WDW resort guest from around 6 AM on day of checkin until the last park closes on checkout day). Or you can show them your reservation in MDE or as a printout. Don't be surprised if they ask for photo ID.

If for some reason you end up paying for parking, keep your receipt. When you arrive at AKL, just go to the front desk, and they'll refund it or credit it to your hotel account.
