On-site hotels???? Please help a newbie!

Hi everyone

We are planning our first trip to Universal for Harry Potter Island

We stay on-site at WDW (favorite is the Wilderness Lodge) so we're trying to figure out which hotel to stay at for our trip

We love the WL for the small size of the resort, quiet pool, overal quiet resort, and wonderful water views of the lake

Any suggestion on which resort at Universal would be best for us

Portofino Bay is very quiet and beautiful. Some have reported having one of the pools to themselves at times. I'd avoid Hard Rock as it's not quiet and the pool area can be a bit crowded...it's a lot of fun, but not quiet. IMO, Royal Pacific is a mix between Portofino and Hard Rock (and my personal favorite). Happy planning!

The room size at WL is similar to RPH, so that won't be an issue. Personally, we had a bad experience at WL with a really, really worn and very dark, dingy room and I think that any of the hotels at Universal are so much better. However, RPR and PBH are most like WL.
