On-line check in

I just recently got my notice that I will soon be able to do online check-in.

Here's the dilemma. I added a room-only reservation the night before my package begins. So I believe it is not included in the on-line check in.

Because of this, is on-line check-in sort of pointless for me? Does someone know a trick on how to use this and increase my chances of getting the same room for the entire trip?

Thanks!

You are also able to do online check in for your room only reservation as well. If it is at the same resort, when you check in for your room only reservation, let the CM now that you have a new reservation starting the next day in which you already checked in for an ask to stay in the same room if possible.

We did this during our last trip.

Online check-in is available for any type of reservation, not just packages. So you can do check-in for each.

Online check-in has nothing to do with room availability and meeting requests; it allows you to place a time of arrival and a credit card if you wish. That's all it is.

I have had this same thing happen to me the last three years, due to promos that don't start until the second day of my trip.

Call CRO and have your reservations "linked." That will indicate to the room assigner that you do not wish to be moved. That helped for two of my trips. I did want to be moved last year.

The CM indicated if I didn't mind, I could move next door the next day and the rooms had connecting doors, so all I had to do was unlock my door, go up to check-in, get my new KTTW card, then open the door to my new room and the connecting door, and pull my luggage into the new room and lock my connecting door. They left a note for Mousekeeping to look the other connecting door.

I was in a riverview room, first floor, obstructed view (the stairwell) with 2 queen beds. The next day I moved to the corner room (with two windows), unobstructed view, and a king bed. Heaven and worth the move the next day.

My room only ressie isn't showing up with my other reservations.....

Does this matter?
