On-Line Check In Question

I just checked in on-line for my first trip home to WDW!
I'll be staying at Jambo house. The on-line check in has a question for room requests, but the only option is to check "near transportation." I've read I should request a room near the lobby for best savanna view. Should I check "near transportation"?

I guess the near transportation request would bring you the best chance of being near the lobby, as you have to go through the lobby to reach the transportation. Did you make a special request for near lobby when you made the reservation with MS? If so, it should be on your reservation. If not, ask when you pick up your packet. We've found that with the new room available system, special requests are often overlooked (aka ignored).

Yes, I asked for near lobby when I made the reservation (also had Kidani on waitlist). I know there is no guarantee. I figured that near tranportation in the case of Jambo would be near the lobby, but just wanted "expert" input.

Online requests are pretty much meaningless. The check in system was designed for regular Disney Guests, not the DVC. Make your requests with MS.

When we have completed the on-line check in, on our packet there has been a sticker that says check requests. The one time we requested near the lobby (through MS)we had a ded 2 BR 1st off lobby; with no request we were in no man's land....put in your request of "near transportation" unless you want to be in no man's land and have a car.
