on-line AAA rates for Movies

Just a heads up -- AAA on-line has some good rates for some of the resorts. Last night, dh suggested heading down to WDW tomorrow instead of Friday. I was on the computer at the time, so I just started fooling around to see if we could get anything better than the AP rate we have at POR for the one night. I really didn't expect to find anything; but, lo and behold, AAA.com had ASMovies for $98-something. There also was ASMusic for $200-something -- I'm assuming it was for a suite, but I didnt check. Dh could decide, so I didn't book. This morning, I logged-on again; and the price had gone up a couple of dollars but still wasn't bad. Sports was on there today. There were other WDW resorts, but I didn't look closely at them. I didnotice that the Moderates were more expensive than our AP rate. If you're interested, just do a search for "Disney World" for your dates. I believe the WDW resorts came up on the 2nd page.

Update -- just booked Sports for $92 + tax. At first, dh was told no discounts were available on Values. Then, dh mentions that he saw that there were rooms available on the AAA site. The CM checked again and suddenly found a room at Sports. On the AAA site this evening, Sports was $92 and Movies was $102. I'm not sure why the prices keep changing. I've never used the AAA site before, so it's all new to me.

In July, value resorts are in summer season.

Rack rates are 109 Std/ 121 Preferred

AAA rates are 15% room portion at value resorts in the summer season. bringing the rates to 92.65 / 102.85

There is currently a special out if you are going July 29 or after that makes the rates - 69/81 , I was able to pull up this rate right now at assp...It is a definitely a better deal than your aaa deal. I thought this requires a multiply night stay. I got it to come up for one night at POR (didnt show for any values) for 104 a night.

I don't know where the 98 came from. But, availability is surely playing some roll in the changing figures as well as if you are going at the end of july the availability of the code probably makes a difference.
