If you book a package with the kids stay & play free deal, and don't use the tickets, are they still valid to be saved for a fuuture trip. For example, if one child has an AP, and so doesn't need the "free" ticket, can you book the package and just save that child's free ticket for a future trip?

Yes you can. Just make sure you don't accidentally use it at any time during your trip. My plan for the tickets from our August free dining trip is to have them removed from our KTTW cards so I can just lock them in the room safe to make sure nobody accidentally puts them through the turnstiles.

Have you looked around to see if there are any better offers for you? If you don't need the tickets then basically you're paying full price so that you'll have a ticket to use down the road. If you're talking about the Disney Visa stay, play and dine free deal then it could be worthwhile but I'd still check to see if there might be a better deal out there for you.

I'm new to all this planning stuff and was looking at this special. Does everyone in your party have to be present at check-in? If not, do they somehow verify how many kids are really in your party? Could someone say they had 3 kids in their party but really only have 1, just to get more free kids' tickets?

Thanks for the confirmation that I can save the ticket. Two of us (1 adult, 1 child) need tickets, and this seems to be the best deal for the dates I'm looking at. I think having that extra ticket for future use will save more in the long run than free QS dining (looking at a value) and is also cheaper than using the 30% PIN code I have.

Welcome to the DIS!

Since you're new you're likely not aware that it is against DIS rules to discuss ways to break Disney rules. Adding phantom guests to get something extra for free is breaking rules. The short answer is no this is not allowed.

You should be prepared to have everybody there at checkin. Sometimes you will be asked to produce everybody and other times you won't. You can find stories both ways including stories of people being told they can't check in until everybody is produced.
