? on how mvmcp works??? help please

I need help understanding the way that party works? does everyone have to exit the park and then re-enter? Do you still ride rides or is there way much going on to ride?Will we miss anything if we leave early, we are taking a 7 yr old and 9month old. Any help is greatly appreciated.I havent got our tickets yet due to not knowing anything about it. Oh, and what kind of picture do they take? is it one per person/ticket or is it just a family pic?? thanks all!!

Hi Jill,

This is what we discovered last year.
You may get into the park with just your ticket after 4:00. There is no offical rule about this and the party "starts" at 7:00 but most times it seems to work this way.

The park closes at 6:00 for non party ticket holders. They will direct all party guest to one land where they are free to ride the rides in that area while the park clears of day guest.

What we did was to make a PS for dinner at the LTT for 5:45 and ate during this hour change over. It worked our wonderfuly. We were allowed to wait outside of there when we finished about 6:45. We walked over to the presidents hall and got in line for our picture. I was a little disapointed in that. They said we would get 1 for each adult but when they came in the mail, we had two. Ds was 11 and held an adult ticket. They are the size of most chirstmas cards you have done of your children somewhere at a studio. The party lasted from 7-12. We observed that rides were very short lines but we rode almost none as we wated to catch all the show and special things going on. The castle show at the start of the night was wonderful, as was the Mickey's twas the night before Christmas. There were lots of entertainers out singing all over the park. Characters were out in big numbers too. Hot chocolate and cookies are also set up differnt places throughout the park and are free and unlimited.

The parade is very magical. The 2nd parade was not crowded but with such small children you might want to catch the first to make sure that they are awake.

Fire works are also wonderful and happen I think between parades.

We had a great time. Dinner and the shows are what we did most.

we did this last year with a 6 year old and a 3 month old. It was really fun but it was cold so dress up warm.
the rides were all open, but we didn't do many of them as there were so many other fun things to do - we did lots of the story times and shows, had some cocoa (free but a massive queue to get near it), had our photo taken (they sent us 3 I think) and watched the fireworks and the parade.

We stayed until very nearly midnight - the baby was wrapped up very warmly in her stroller and slept most of the night - my elder dd didn't have a stroller and did fine until the very end of the night - as we left the park she was exhausted, so we put her in the stroller and carried the baby - we would have struggled without the stroller for that last half an hour back to the car.
We were driving and if you are onsite I would recommend the bus as the queues to get back to the TTC were horrendous, that was the only negative experience we had of the evening.
