On hold with Disney, is it normal to just hear music?

I called the ticket number to add a day to my son's ticket and move up his start date one day. I've been on hold for over an hour and it's just Soarin music and some other Epcot songs, there are no updates like your wait is approximately XX minutes to go, etc.. Is it normal to only have music and no other updates for this long? I don't want to just sit here for no reason if I should hang up and call back.

Yup, that's totally normal. The last time I called Disney, I was on hold for 3 hours and heard the same handful of songs play. By the end of it, I was sick to death of the Carousel of Progress song lol

I guess I am lucky, I enjoy the Epcot music at least. Would not be so happy with an hour of It's a Small World lol.
