On Halloween night...

....the Great Pumpkin rises out of a pumpkin patch and flies through the air with toys for all the good little children.

Does anyone love the Its The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown as much as I do?! I'm so excited for it to be on TV this Friday. Owning the DVD is never as much fun as watching on TV like I did as a kid!

It's high on my list but Snoopy fighting with the chair in the Thanksgiving episode is my favorite.

I hear ya!! I was squealing like a 6 year old last night when I saw the preview for The Great Pumkin on tv! And then, there's a new Peanuts show right after...or maybe I've just not seen it. It's just gonna make trick-or-treating all the better at our house. (Yeah, our town is trick-or-treating on Friday...don't ask me why.)

But I totally agree with you...watching those classics is so much better when ya just catch them on tv than on video. I love to catch the Peanuts, Christmas specials from my childhood, Wizard of Oz, Poseidon Adventure (original), and even Willy Wonka when they come on tv...it's like winning a prize.

Ohhh I didn't know there's a new Peanuts special after. I'll have to check that out.

This year at MNSSHP I got a giggle from one of the CMs when we were looking at the candy we'd just gotten in our bags and I said "I got a rock."

They just don't make shows like this anymore!! I adored watching The Great Pumpkin as a child and now I adore watching it with my children. We make a big event out of it every year, we pop popcorn, make milkshakes and we all sit down to watch it (I even get teary eyed sometimes shhhhh). I just love sitting there with my kids thinking about the day when they sit down with their kids and watch The Great Pumpkin
