? on GCV at 7 months

Forgive me if this has been covered somewhere, but I never thought we would visit GCV and so have paid no attention to any of the threads on it.

We may have the opportunity next June (probably the end of the month) for a CA trip. Do you think it would be okay to wait for the 7month window to try and book GCV (we would need a one bedroom for 3 nights), or am I better off renting points from a GCV owner and renting out some of my own VWL points?

I am curious about this too, but for years in the future. My boys are only 2 and 4 right now but when they are older (late elementary school or so), we would like to go on a trip to California including Disneyland, in place of a WDW trip. So using the DVC points at GCV would be ideal. I also saw the points chart for GCV and it definitely looks good! I am not counting on it though, since at this point it is the only DVC resort at Disneyland. I am sure it will book up fast!
