On DxDP - can I ask for a healthier dessert option?

We've opted to do DxDP n our next trip. We've done it in the past and, with the exception of TIW while we were AP holders, it works best for our family.

Question, though - although DH and I are foodies, and our kids like to try new things, too, we're not always up for a big dessert. I've never asked before, but am wondering if we could get a healthier option for dessert rather than cheesecake or ice cream or cake? Like a bowl of fruit, maybe? Sorbet? Maybe I should put a request in along with my ADRs? What do you guys think?

Many of the restaurants offer sorbet as one of the desserts. One of the most unusual that we had was a cucumber sorbet at Le Cellier. It was refreshing and very good. You can also ask about fruit and some places will let you order the cheese plate that is on the app menu as your dessert.

I would think there would have to be some dessert option available for diabetics that is healthier than something like cake. Maybe ask about that. For some who aren't diabetic, they may still need to watch their sugar intake.

Ooooh, cucumber sorbet sounds really yummy! We're not eating at Le Cellier this trip, but leaves me hoping that other restaurants will have creative alternatives, too. Thanks!

Once at Citricos I had green apple sorbet for dessert. I've also had white peach sorbet at Le Cellier.

I've had cheese plates for dessert at California Grill, Narcoosee, Artist Point, Flying Fish, and Jikos.

I have ordered fruit bowls for dessert many times.
