I would like to request that people not just randomly pop into rooms.

I know many times this weekend I had random people pop into my room -I rarely get the random guest visits in my rooms unless I have a bunch of people- but the other day I was working on my ride room and it was titled "AFK- please leave me alone" and it seemed like it should have been titled come bug me while I'm working...

After I had to boot the 3rd person for refusing to leave/move etc I friend locked the room.

Normally I love visitors- but I ask that if you see the room is titled "leave me alone" to leave the person alone- if you are bored and want to visit or if you need to ask something- send a message first- don't just pop on in...

I know many are working on their rooms and would like to keep things secret for the big competition- I know I have seen many new room names on my friend's list- some are afk and leave me alone rooms -others are obviously expedition everest rooms- and if the person was not on the same team I was I would not just pop into their rooms out of respect.

So I am asking that while many are working on their room assembly for the competition- that all Disers at least have some respect and not come into the rooms without asking first.

With the 30 minute disconnects it was hard enough to get rooms completed- but when you have to stop and ask politely for a friend to leave or explain that, "no you can't have my track or teleporters I need them" over and over and a few times I actually had to threaten to boot after politely asking them to leave so I could work.

I know many teams are building and having meetings and such- and really it is bad form to go spying and looking around- if you are willing to open your rooms before the competition for others to see that is fine... but until vmk gives us a lock everyone out of our room option- we need to rely on people to be decent and respectful...

Yes I do understand I before I go visiting I read the description. But in some descriptions I was not sure if it was ok or not so I erred in the side of not visiting. Felt a little lonely but to be a fair competition this needs to be.

yes it does get annoying sometimes but i have a friends lock on all my rooms so only friends come in really. the only times i do go in others rooms is when i am asked to ride theirs

I can't wait to try out all the Team entries! If anyone wants a beta tester for their ride...I'm your girl.

How long does this last? VMK may need to bring in a Mental Health professional to bring you all back to the land of the living!

I had the same exact problem the other day. I was rearranging TONS of boxes and cubes in my room, and then a friend came in. I talked with him a little bit, then as he was about to leave, one of HIS friends comes in and starts to sit all over the place. Then a few more of his friends come in, and HE LEAVES!! Now I have a bunch of random people just sitting there, using my room as an afk resting spot!

I quickly changed my room to "friends only." I am not worried about the whole "spying" thing. Actually, it never really occured to me. I just get kind of mad when people I don't even know are walking around my room and getting in the way of my room ride.

I find myself loitering in daviedude's room constantly lol. I sure hope he doesn't mind me taking notes and precisely coding where each and every piece of furniture goes LOL . Actually, I always respect the people working on the everest event rooms and do not enter any that read what you mentioned virtuallyme. Even though I am tempted to visit my friends who keep themselves in their rooms working so diligently, I just message them instead.

I'm with you brain! I'm making a ride for me! And it really doesn't help when there are places in VMK like Splash Mountain and Mark Twain where people can see every Bayou room, Mark twain room, pirate cannon and jungle cruise room! Guests are always popping in!

Thanks for the heads up about the 'friends' only option. I keep forgetting it's there. They love to pop in for my river ride, but it is a bit annoying that everytime I drop by to drop off a couple more ice cubes in my expedition rooms, I have all sorts of visitors popping in immediately. I may have to use that option some in the next few days. Ah no more begging for a while...that would be nice.
