So, my wife and I just returned from a fantastic trip to Disney World. Celebrated our twentieth anniversary with a jaunt to Star Wars weekend and spent six glorious days - and left the kids behind.

This morning, we booked a trip back to Disney - with the kids - for a week over Christmas.

We have crossed the addiction line. We are a bit nervous, and are trying to pull ourselves in a new direction - enjoying the holiday - something we have wanted to do.

And now, I feel us thinking about another trip over next summer.

Other crazies out there?

If I could afford it I would go several times a year. I especially love all the Christmas decorations and lights it's awesome. Not sure about the crowds around Christmas because we went the 2nd week in December. I know around Christmas week it is very crowded. I also like to go for the Halloween Party and decorations. On a scale of 1-10 you are a 3 lol

Sounds great to me! But we love Disney at Christmas and are booked for Christmas 2014 as well!

Oh, they are level 11 with MK closures! But early and late is great. :)

You are not crazy at all. :)

We spent 13 glorious days at DW last August. Then we flew down for a weekend in October and a weekend in December. We booked a week in March (but had to cancel) and we are going back in August for two weeks. Plus we've booked two weeks in December (but we will cancel if we can't find a reasonable airfare). :goodvibes

My family went to WDW last year 12/29-1/4. It was crowded but because of Fast Pass Plus, we had a great time! Longest wait we had was 40 minutes for Star Tours because we didn't have a Fast Pass.

Get to the parks early. Make FP+ for late morning early afternoon. Plan a late lunch or early dinner. It helps relax you!

Before you leave, ask everyone in your family what their "must dos" are. Chances are you won't be able to see everything. But if you only have a few "must dos" everything else you see or do, will be icing on the cake.

Being at WDW during this week is magical. The decorations are so beautiful!

We did the Candlelight Processional Dining Package (must do!) it was totally worth it! We ate at Teppen Edo.

Have fun!

Im like you. I don't need a reason to go back to WDW! Lol :)

If you were to ask my kids this questions, they would declare you crazy... crazy for waiting so long between trips. But then again, my spoiled kids (said with love) want to go down every other weekend.

Not crazy at all!!

I was there for 2 weeks in Jan.....arrive next Sat. for a week, 2 weeks in Oct and then 2 weeks in Dec.......and if I could, I would go more.
(Airfare is a killer though)

:goodvibesThis is a common reaction to a good vacation - regardless of destination. I once heard someone say that the best remedy for post-vacation blues is to start planning the next vacation. Wht makes Disney even more enticing is this very active planning community - your trip really begins the moment you contemplate taking it (even before you book it, sometimes). Few other travel opportunities offer such an active travel planning community.

Enjoy your next trip - and the one after that! LOL

You're not crazy at all!! having grown up a disney fanatic (lived in CT.. grandparents in FL.. several times a year trips to FL and of course WDW) now as an adult..went with my bf together for the first time aug 2011… booked our second trip the minute we checked out for aug 2012. booked again for aug 2013, and now the countdown begins for aug 2014 trip!!! best place to vaca ever. cannot wait to continue the tradition with our future kids.

Just to clarify, are we talking "real world crazy" or "Dis-er crazy?" In the real world this might be considered a bit over-the-top. Around here? You haven't even scratched the surface of crazy...but give it some time :earboy2:

I hope you have considered annual passes to save a little money!
And, no, you are not crazy! Our family upgraded our package park tickets to APs September 2013, and will travel to WDW FIVE times inside a year! 35 days in total. One of those trips was an anniversary trip without the kids. I feel a little crazy too! We will probably wait a year, then do the same thing in 2016. As for 2015...we are feeling a little obligated to show our kids other travel destinations.

This is so true!!!

Pfft your "I've been to disney this many times" list is less than 20 so you're downright sane compared to some of these guys <3

:thumbsup2 "Regular" people might think you are a total freak, but we understand around here!

DD is pretty active year-round with dance, so we have to travel for that at least a couple times a year. That's a decent chunk of the vacation time off and budget. I am biding my time till Disney multiple (2-3) times a year is the norm. May seem weird to some, but I honestly consider it a big priority. BIG.

I don't find that crazy at all, sounds great to me!

If I had the $ and even more than that, had the time (only so many vacation days in a year), I would go down several times a year to be able to enjoy the different seasons and special events.

We have coming up SWW and 19th anniversary trip - we are combining the SWW, anniversary, summer, and kids into one June trip. This will be followed by a week at WDW for Christmas. :santa:

Not crazy in the least. People in the outer world (non Dinsey geeks) might call you crazy, but when your sourrouded by loving Disney fans on this board, we all agree with you! :goodvibes

Every time I get back from a Disney trip, I figure out when I can go again and start planning!

Have a fantastic time!:)
