Beth I love your trip report. Awesome job . I loved all of the pictures of the food. Now we have a few places we need to check out. My dh wants to eat at the Mad Greek they had that place on the Food Network's show Diners, Drive-ins & Dives. We're flying out of Vegas next month and the plan is to stop there for dh to get a gyro.

I agree you should do a trip report for October.

I didn't know they had that place on the Diners, Drive-ins & Dives show. How cool. I wish I'd seen it. I only had a bite of his gyro but he said it was good. They had some shakes that looked really yummy, but we didn't get one.
I hope your DH enjoys it.

Yeah we're driving from Edwards out to Vegas for our flight. It's weird that even with us driving the 3.5 hours each way and parking there that it's way cheaper than just plane tickets from LAX. The tickets from LAX were $200 more per ticket.

I'm enjoying the Next Food Network Star. I know what you mean about Lisa, I think it was the slip in the kitchen that brought her down a bit. I like Kelsey a lot.

Yeah, it's a shame I can't meet up with you ladies. I'm not even blocked that Friday but gas is such a pain and me being $2500 in CC debt and $700 debt to my father (stupid glasses/contacts), it's not so wise to be willy nilly with my money.
Sorry but in order to pay off the debt to my dad, I had to sign a "contract" agreeing to walk 144 miles in 12 week. 3 miles a day, 4 days a week (minimum)! I have already walked 7 miles this week, 5 to go! If I keep this up I'll be slim and trim for my Halloween trip

They even have some Disney ones but I need to get my creative genius in gear and make some more. I really want some cute one for Halloween. I like my pumpkin one (for my birthday) but I want something that's less Thanksgiving and a little more fall. It's hard because you're limited on what you can post in a forum, no html

Way to go!! Sigh . . . . I should do the same thing . . . or at least take a pool class (which is what my dr. recommends for me).

Keep us updated on your progress!! I think that is a wonderful way to pay off your "debt"! (Your Dad obviously cares a lot about you and wants to keep you around!)

I'm trying to take off some weight before we leave for DL on Sat. and I was hoping to be good while I'm there. Wish me luck with that.Oh, and I'm going to look at the site for the Pismo hotel. Hi, thanks for reading. Sorry about the food porn, but hey, it's vacation! Actually I guess it's a good thing I have four kids, they pretty much take everything I buy to eat, so I usually only end up with a few bites.

The Pismo hotel was great. If you stay there, I hope you enjoy it. I'd love to go back sometime but I'm not sure when. It's kind of a long drive for us from here in Vegas. Speaking of being here, we've got you beat with the heat. We're supposed to reach 112 today.

OKay, this really has nothing to do with my TR, but I wanted to post these cool pics someplace where they wouldn't get buried, so I thought why not here.

My DH saw this car in the parking lot where he works and just had to take some pics of it. It's so cool. Obviously a die hard Mickey fan owns it. Maybe even a DISer, who knows! Anyway, it's a really cool car.

All those little white dots are Mickey heads!

I LOVE this!! How cool that the brake lights are Mickey heads!!!

I think he's freaking out over gas prices!! I know I do. LOL

I just thought some of you Disney fans would appreciate seeing this as much as we did.

A big Mickey fan!! I think it's great. The only down side is your car is so noticeable that you can't "sneak off" anywhere. Anyplace you are parked, people who know your car, will know you're in there.
