Omni Championsgate vs POR

Anyone stayed at Omni Championsgate? We can either do 2 nights there and 1 at POR or 1 night at Omni and 2 nights at POR. Thoughts?

It has been a while, but I've stayed at Omni Championsgate a couple of times for work related stuff. It was a lovely hotel. Rooms were of pretty good size. The lazy river and pool they had looked nice. Didn't have a chance to use them. I was told by co-workers the golf course was good if golf is on your agenda. The food the hotel provided was pretty good as far as conference food goes. Didn't eat at any of the restaurants themselves.

If it were me I wouldn't do more than a night at the Omni. I love POR though, so it might just be my bias talking. I will say that of the two visits I had the first (2005) was better than the second (2008). Also the Omni is a little further out than I care to be if I'm visiting the parks.

We're only doing the park for one day and we're staying at POR that day/night so we can use Evening EMH. Our tickets are the convention tickets where you can't enter the park until 2pm so we wanted to take advantage of The evening EMH so that we could have more park time. Our retreat/conference is actually at the Omni but we'll be visiting downtown disney and such in our free time.
