OMGOSH I think Karissa has it figured out!Sorry likely TMI but moms will understand

That's not TMI...that's BIG NEWS!! Congratulations!! :hyper: :teeth:

Great news that deserves to be shared!!! Congratulations to Karissa!!! :Pinkbounc

That's great! Our 3.5 yr old just wouldn't potty train either. We got the "feel and learn" pull-ups and she was going on her own THAT DAY. I think having Dora on the front helps a little too! ;)

That's greta news! I hope #2 is close behind!

very exciting...definitely not TMI...it's a HUGE thing to potty train a child!

I am nearing the point with ds that I need to get him going, and I'm glad that you had a positive experience with the new feel & learn pull-ups. I will definitely be getting some of them!

Don't ever feel like it is a small thing! I still think one of my top ten moments in life was when I worked with a man with developmental disabilities who would not eat, and to keep him around we resorted to semi force feeding- always calmly and with respect for dignity. He would fight very hard and we would talk him through it. One day his mother came to pick him up for Christmas and handed him a cookie and he put it in his mouth and ate it! We stood there crying at this triumphant moment! A cookie for goodness sake! Your potty training is BIG compared to that!

And no, he never ate anything again! We finally got permission to get him a feeding tube without having to put him in a nursing home.

:cheer2: I bet she's proud of herself, too! :cheer2:

DS5 has to really work for some of his successes, too, so I really understand. He finally learned to pedal a tricycle this spring.

I never appreciated how much our children learn in the first five years until I saw how many, many steps are really involved in learning every skill.

And are you almost as thrilled about the money that will be saved? :p

That is big time great news! I know I was worried when my one DS kept on refusing to get with it. He was 4 1/2 when it finally just clicked and let me tell you, we had a party for him that night!

Way to go Karissa!princess: :Pinkbounc

Congratulations to you and your daughter!

I bought some of those Pull-ups and i'm hoping they work for us also. I risked the trip to the mall y-day with my DS in underwear. We were doing well until he wet himself and the floor at Sketchers. The salesclerk was in shock. I just cleaned it up as best that I could with wipes and towels and we left. Potty training is not fun at all.

Wow Hillbeans you are a braver soul than I! Im not quite there yet with Karissa.

Its been a couple of years since I went through this Kaylee so its hard to remember all that we did with her.

I really liked these Feel-n-learn pull ups! They can finally recognize when they have a problem and i think that makes it "click" you know?

Why didnt they make these earlier???

ok I know I could go with cloth but at this house I just didnt feel like it was an option.
