egads, so i have never been to disney, and i've gone mad. mad i tell you MAD!

i went nutso on this chick on ebay who does paper piecing for kinda lot of money but omg they are gorgeous and huge. Not to mention i bought everything i could. I even have paper piecings for ohana and crystal palace as well as 50's pt, monorails, well heck you name it i have it.

So far i've only scrapped 10 pages, and i'm so anal retentive, yet they are somewhat plain but perfectly plain lol. I'm working on all the autographs. I laminate each autograph and place a pic of my ds getting the auto then the pose with the character, as well as 3D art/stickers etc. I havent had the energy to do chalking, stamping etc, but i did buy some 1.00 fonts that i've enjoyed.

I lost all my cut out alphebets and i bet i had over 200 all diff. colors, must have gotten lost in our move last august.

My house is a disaster area, i have paper everywhere and my 10 DS wants to scrap so i gave in and bought him 50.00 worth of stuff.

if my DH finds out how much this book is gonna cost he's gonna divorce me LOL. Though he did tell me to buy this 22.00 paper piecing of animal kingdom and the tree of life, its 7x10, so is a cover page to animal king.

anyone else go bankrupt on thier first scrapbook to disney. I bet i could open a shop with all the stuff i've bought over the years.

Can someone give me the link to where everyone posts thier layouts, i need fresh ideas!
thanks tons!

Just wait till you are on your 45th trip and then up what you spend... :rolleyes1

There is a link at the top of the page with links, but the best is two peas, just search Disney. :)

You and I must be long lost twins separated at birth! :wave2: I have spent a small fortune on paper piecings from ebay (Gina and a few others) plus all the jolees and ek success dimensional embellishments, plus tons of ribbons, papers, buttons, chalks, etc. And get this--for my last disney album, I did an alphabet book and decided I needed embellishments to go with each letter, so I ordered various disney trading pins from ebay (spending an embarassing amount of money for some of them) cut off the backs, and stuck them on my pages. My husband thinks a trip to disney world is expensive---if he only knew how expensive the scrapbook that follows can be!! I am currently working on scrapbooking my third disney trip. I have already filled (over-filled, really) the book I brought home with me and still have a couple hundred more pictures to do. DH has no Idea that I spent almost $200 after that trip just having prints made at Wal Mart! So anyway, now I guess I need to go back to WDW to buy another album to finish the most recent trip! Haven't mentioned that to DH yet!! :rotfl2: Maybe I should leave my camera at home next time.

Welcome to the dark side!! :rotfl2:

We have all been there, some advice for everyone.
Carry extra bags in your car so your DH doesn't know where the stuff came from, buy totes to store everything in so he can't see it, and never ever save the receipt burn or shred them. LOL

:sad2:

Buffy, you are not only the Swap Goddess, and the Keeper of the Calendar, but you are also the best "sponsor" :rotfl2:

OMG! My dh is gonna kill me if this is what we have to look forward too. I just started and spent about 350 ish on C.M. tools and albums etc.. and about 50.00 on other random stuff and what i realized yesterday is I still need more colored paper because I was having trouble finding the exact colors that I wanted to put on a page.
I hate to see what happens when we do our Disney book!!

:rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: I thought I was the only one who did that!!!

STep away from the computer, do not and i mean repeat do not go to ebay. Do not look at Gina's and above else do not visit this store.. http://stores.ebay.com/House-of-Mouse-Scrappers i made the horrible mistake of buying one item and falling IN LOVE. I love 3D and huge pieces... plus now the evil woman, who is the nicest ebayer ever... has a 20% discount and free shipping this month...omg. I actually told her i'd send her my house payment.

Ohhhh and i found 2 complete packages of epsom ink on ebay for 66...and omg help, i need to put ebay on parental control mode!

seriously with the scrapping pieces i bought im as excited as a kid at xmas, this lady is even creating me a rafiki since there are none anywhere!

Oh and the woman who mentioned Pins....THANKS A LOT. Now i'm thinking what a cool idea that is! (that has GOT to wait till next trip and i'm buying a ton of elcheapo pins and doing some trading lol)...but till...wouldnt a pin that has cali grill onit be cool...

I'm wondering when i get done (i havent even gotten all my paper from mousememories..i bet i have a ton of stuff left over... Like i bought the 06 red official disney scrapbook that i need to sale. ugh

Thanks for the link! Peeking at her stuff, and it is great! :thumbsup2

i just got a big package from her, omggggggggggg these things are HUGE!!!!

I like to do 2 page layouts anyway, which is good cuz they are huge lol, gorgeous!

What is the link for Gina's?

I'm clueless about how to do a link, but I know that you can find Gina's stuff on ebay when you search disney paper piecing. Her ebay store is called Gina's treasure chest. I have a bunch of her things and have never been disappointed. Very nicely done and great for my disney pages! No, I don't know Gina and in no way do I profit from this free advertising! :wave2:

I started by becoming a CMC as I wanted so much stuff and it worked out cheaper to get the consultant kit . I don't do classes very often, but I have a small group (3-4) who come over and scrap and order their supplies from me. DH thinks they actually pay for everything i have - well, I'm afraid I've long overtaken their spending! He knows I get sizeable discount, so as long as I've had a crop and bank a couple of cheques, he assumes that the large figure on my credit card bill if mostly their stuff :lmao:

I think my post from yesterday was completely taken the wrong way and the mods deleted it. I just hate to see people spend gobs of money on something they could do very easily themselves. Personally I would rather have my scrapbooks filled with things I make but hey that's just me. The main thing I was trying to get across was to come over and visit the creative disigns boards here on the dis boards. We have lots of talented people there who can make these personalized disney graphics for you, for your scrapbooks, t-shirts etc.

Also if you don't have photoshop there is a free program out there called Gimp which you can download for free and you can make your own stuff.

I am a one of the members over on the other boards and didn't want to self-promote my work so that is why I choose to post under a different name. I do not sell any of my stuff on ebay and never would. I just want you to look at everyone's work and not just my own. There is a lot of great stuff there from a lot of talented people.

I do stand by my morals and believe that it is wrong to sell disney copyrighted images on ebay or anywhere else and there are a few people who are taking that risk. I myself would never do that, besides can you imagine what it would be like if you got a call from the big D's legal department. If you look at the terms at disneyclips website for example which a lot of use, it specifically states for non-proft purposes. I would hate to see that site shut down because of people abusing the system. I spend countless hours making designs for others here on the boards for t-shirts, disney cruise line door magnets, scrapbooking stuff etc. and I would never dream of selling it to people. So anyway come over and visit us we can help you make your own stuff or we can make stuff for you and also help you with photoshop and gimp or whatever software you may have. I myself enjoy doing it and am glad to help others with their projects.

Also we have a great wealth of sources for disney clipart, design tips etc on the sticky's over on the creative disigns board so come on over and let us help you with your projects! We are glad to help and best of all we do it for free!!!

One nice thing, I think the spending slows down the longer you scrap. Granted I still go through periods where I spend but not like in the beginning where I wanted it all! Shopping was more fun than actually scrapping. Now I find it is more fun to actually find ways to use my supplies!
My first big spending bills were on carrying cases and bags to hold my stuff....ahhh I still love the bags....but now I can look at something realistically! LOL!
I was a sucker for stickers when I first started. I bought a sticker binder and had it filled where I could hardly zip it! It was terrible! Bad part was after awhile I hated almost every sticker I had! All that money! So I have learned over the years! And can we talk about pattern paper....I had so much...I bought it just cause it was nice and pretty. Didn't even think about what pictures would work with it! But slowly after about 7 years I have figured out my needs and style. Not to say I don't go over board on somethings but I now at least think before I buy!

a good place to look at layouts would be http://twopeasinabucket.com/
many many layouts to look at!
also many people on here have links to their layouts.
