Well, I finally found one and they are adorable! It has inspired DD to get out her Hamtaro playset from years ago and she spent an hour setting it all up!

We have a new Target opening in our area Oct 11th, does anyone know if Target gives away any giftcards or anything when they open a new store?

We had a new target open about 6 months ago and while there were no gift cards given out I was sent a booklet of coupons for free items when the new store opened. It included a save $5 on a $25 purchase coupon. i was signed up with my address and email on target.com.

we had another target in the area so not sure if that was part of the reason., for a few months after that i continued to get $10 off $50 for a while, but i don't seem to get them anymore.

I was able to find a few hamsters and accessories at Walmart today... They didn't have them yesterday...

I bought 2 hamsters, the car/garage, and the wheel/tunnel...

I have family in 4 different states looking for the other stuff... Boy am I going to be disappointed if I get all the accessories and no fun house...

My local TRU said they're getting a shipment on Wednesday. AND one near my mother (in Boston) said the same thing. So check your TRU stores Wednesday morning!

I think it will be a matter of time before they are found pretty easily.

I found 2 fun houses, 2 wheels, a garage, 2 beds and 1 carrier at Wal-Mart yesterday. I bought the house, wheel and both beds and the carrier.

Today, I was at a different Wal-Mart and they had several hamsters (at least 16 - 4 different hamsters), 2 carriers, 1 bed, 2 fun houses, 3 garages and 2 wheels. I bought 2 hamsters. They had an empty spot that was marked $10 ... so, I'm wondering if that was the ball, I'd really like to get that.

It was hard to leave all that stuff sitting there! I hope some other Mom in a desperate search for her child found the stuff and not some Ebayer!!!

Just checked my walmart today. They had a place set aside for them. Price stickers up and a little room on the shelf, but no hammies? I'm guessing they didn't come in yet, because it looks like they just made room for them.
Anyone having any luck finding them at kmart?

My DD6 had seen the commercial and announced that she wanted these for Christmas. So I noticed this thread the other night and was reading parts of it to DH around 10pm. He jumps off the couch and heads to Walmart (we have one about 2 minutes away - open till 11pm) and found hamsters and beds, but nothing else. He had asked one of the workers for help, but had no success. He moved on to another part of the store and the worker actually tracked him down to say she had found the hamster wheel and the car in some boxes that were stacked in an aisle waiting to be unpacked. They only had one of each! So at least we're covered in case we can't find more, but DD really wanted the hamster ball, so we will need to keep looking...but at least we've started some early Christmas shopping, something we always mean to do, but never seem to accomplish!

Oh no. My soon to be six year old daughter saw the commercial last week and so wants one! Our real hamsters "ran away" last year, so I thought it be a good (better smelling) replacement! I guess I better start hunting!

DD has still had no luck finding the Fun house or any of the tubes, she did get the hamster & a few random accessories, Hope our area starts getting them in- nothing so far.

I know someone who sells on Amazon for a living. She gets these hard to find toys and marks them up tremendously. But, as long as people buy, she will continue to sell. (

I foud some yesterday at Walmart and Toys R Us had 2 hamsters no accs. Today my husbandis there right now and he sad they had several hamsters but no accs. Does anyone know how much the bed and carriers are??

When I was at our Wal-Mart the other day, I lucked into a few hamsters, but nothing else. I did notice that price stickers were out for other things, that they have had in stock, or maybe will eventually have.
Hamsters -$8 each
Funhouse -$20
Wheel -$15

Beds w/ blanket -$5

Surfboard- $10

I've had just the opposite luck - I think I have nearly all the accessories but there hasn't been a single hamster to be had. I've never seen anything at TRU except empty shelves and Target hadn't even heard of them (he said they are re-setting their toys in a couple of weeks, so maybe they'll be out then).

At Wal-Mart (2 different stores), I've gotten the funhouse, surfboard, adventure ball, garage with car, ramp with wheel, and the bed/blanket. I haven't seen the carrier yet, and I guess maybe Wal-mart isn't carrying the set that is a single round tube that comes with a hamster. All I need now are a couple of hamsters - I'm sure I'll come across them eventually!

We saw a couple at our Target earlier this week. My DD has the real thing and I told her she was crazy if she thought she would get a toy one too!

Mine are begging for ANY pet. Our dog died 1.5 years ago and our cat likely won't be here for the holidays. Once I got 5 kids out of diapers I started with the aging pets. I've told my kids "if it poops and doesn't clean up after itself, then it's not coming in the house."

Then THESE things appeared. "MOM. MOM!!!! Can we get it? It doesn't poop and it's JUST like a REEEEEL hamster."

Can you say "cha-ching" with all the "go-withs" for those things?? And I bet they break within 3 months.
