OMG- Zhu Zhu Pets are they the new Cabbage Patch Kids????

Someone posted a part of TRU ad for this Sunday on another forum and it has the Giant Hamster city ( the one that comes with 2 hamsters and a bunch of accessories for those that don't know) in the ad. TRU will supposedly be selling the cities in store this Sunday. Price was quoted at $130....a lot more than the pre-orders.

But, if anyone is still looking for these this would be a way to get everything you need in 1 stop!

I have the flier for CVS sale starting Sunday and they are not in it. I think the that CVS stores are getting them randomly. The managers don't even know what or when they are getting them. Just keep checking

FAO has Zhu Zhu's right now. I just ordered the Ultimate Set. I am totally fine with paying slightly inflated prices to prevent having to run all over town every morning! Plus, it has all of the pieces that I want except the Adventure Ball. Phew! One less thing to stress about during the holidays!

I stopped by our CVS this morning. I got there right before they opened and when I went in they told me "sorry". They had told me IF they were going to get any it would have been today and they did not. They said at this point they do not expect to get more, though they are not positive. What they got were for BF and were gone in about an hour. They still did have the 3 beds that have been there all week, in fast I was last there on Wednesday (I pop in even though they say not to expect them when I am passing my) and they were crooked on the shelf. Today they were again, or still as though they had not been touched. I don't know why they still have them except maybe people don't want the beds if they can't find the pets.

I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who posted about CVS and the hamsters. I would never have thought of going there and I was able to get two hamsters this week from our local store. Yea!!!

According to the local managers (I've talked with several , our area CVS stores (AL) will have the hamsters in the ad on Sunday and they received shipments Wed and Thurs that theya re supposed to hold til Sunday. They are only getting one each of the accessories, though.

I saw online that many people said the hamster ball accessory doesn't work and some people got a regular hamster ball from the pet store and that it works better. Anyone here know if that's true?

I have a question about the accessories. Does anyone know if they will work w/o the main fun house. I have the slide, car/garage, and ramp/wheel and the pets but I'm not sure if anything will work w/o the main hub part. Any thoughts?

I have a question also. I am looking for the starter house with patches. I was just wondering how much it is supposed to retail for? Is there a place I can find average retail prices of all Zhu Zhu accessories. I do know the funhouse with hamster sells for $35.00... Thanks! Has anyone seen it sold anywhere?

I called CVS corporate yesterday after days and days of checking with them . He told me that only 1500 stores are getting the Zhu Zhu pets for Sunday. They are in the following states: GA, SC, AL, FLA, OH, MI, Ca, and IL. I'm in MD so no luck for me. If anyone gets an extra I'd be glad to take it off your hands. My DS 8 wants one from Santa. I have the bed but am hesitant to pay over $100 for the set if I'm not sure he'll play with it for a long time....

I did manage to get the skateboard on ebay last night. Turns out that I had ordered the skateboard-but was shipped the surfboard in error. I didn't realize it until the 30 day return window has passed. That store has nothing left to exchange it for anymore anyway.

I hope DD actually plays with it after all of this.

That is what I thought, too. If it comes back in stock I am going to get it. The extra $20-$25 is well worth saving myself the trouble. Especially since I can't seem to get my hands on even one hamster!!!

I did find the ball and car at CVS but no hamsters as of yet. Keep the tips and posting coming, please! They are very helpful!

Well, I finally got a notice that my etoys order had shipped. It had the funhouse and 4 hamsters. I hope that they ship in a plain packing box just in case my kiddos are home when it arrives. Last year I ordered something from Step 2 and it arrived in the box that showed the picture of the product
It was for my youngest dd and of course she was the one who noticed the package on the front porch. Unfortunately toysrus won't let me cancel. It says item has been located and there is no cancel button. Just my luck. Now I'll have 2 fun houses and I think 2 of the same hamster if that item actually ships. At least I don't need to go check out the CVS by us in the morning. They are supposedly getting a shipment.

Two questions for all of you:

1) Christmas morning.... are you going to set up the fun house/accessories so the kids don't have to open each box or will you wrap each box? Not sure what to do...

and

2) Has anyone seen Jilly in a store? I see her all over ebay for crazy prices but I have not seen or heard of it being stocked any in stores around here. If I can buy her at face value before Christmas I will, otherwise she will become a present for another day (and I would like to see how long my girls interest lasts with these Zhu Zhu's after Christmas).
