I was excited to place my order with TRU for the hamster set. After I placed my order I realized that the street address need to be changed. We have moved. I looked at the website and I couldn't change it on the site. I called and they told me that they are unable to change the address once the order had been placed. I would have to cancel my order and place a new one. So I cancelled my order and the $85.00 set in not even listed anymore. I am so upset. I thought this would be one present I wouldn't have to worry about. I think it was so stupid that they would let each person buy 5. Why would anyone need 5 other than to sell them later to make money. It won't even be shipped until 11/15/09. I am going to keep trying to get this set on the website.

Great, my DD7 sees this commercial daily and keeps asking for the Zhu Zhu pets! It looks like something she will play with for 10 minutes and then it will wind up in the bottom of her toy box!

There's no unexpected delay, they most likely oversold the pre-orders. Hopefully TRU has enough time to get more from the manufacturer, and hopefully the manf. can meet the demand

Found 'em at Walmart today for $7.99. They had the pets, but no accessories or tubes or anything. I wasn't even looking, and there they were! I made sure to hide them down in my cart in case anyone might swipe them out while I was shopping!

I haven't seen them yet but I did recently see some blank hooks/spaces at TRU with a sign stating that they are limiting the purchase of them (I assume just the hamster @ 7.99) to 2 per day/per person.

Now I'll have to watch for them.

I was looking unsuccessfully for the paint that goes with the old Lite Brite spinners when I found the zhu zhus. So, it was across the aisle from the Play Doh and Lite Brite stuff.

Thanks, I'll check that aisle when I go back. I can't remember if I looked around that stuff the first time, for all Iknow there could have been 100 of those hamsters there.

I got the same e-mail. Guess I'll hit Wal-Mart tomorrow and pray. We haven't seen the commercials yet, so I am hoping no one else in the area has either. I'm just trying to get mine just in case. Because DD(8) has a gift for always wanting the hardest thing to find. I know just as soon as she sees these things, that is all I will hear. So this year I was hoping to one up her.

Anyone in NJ, the Brick Walmart had about 8 of the hamsters (as of last night), no tubes or anything. Just the hamsters and I think one little bed or something. They were by the puppy in my pockets and those type of items.

My kid asked too and I told her nope. I didn't even realize they were nuts to find so I'm glad I already broke her heart .

I just don't see the point of going to insanity and paying triple the price for something that will be quickly forgotten. A week after christmas they will be everywhere, if any of your kids gets gift cards or cash as gifts they can buy one a week later.

Was at my Walmart yesterday and they had all sorts of the funhouses, sleep dome/skateboard, carriers, beds, etc, but no hamsters.

Have been debating whether or not to start my younger dd on these.. she hasn't seen the commercials yet, but absolutely loves all little stuffed animals. And with them actually doing something, she'd probably get a real kick out of them.

I would've probably bought her a carrier, bed, and hamster if they had the hamsters in stock, but not gonna buy anything till I can actually find a hamster.

TRU told me they get another shipment on friday. Im going to go right when they open. I just need a hamster and the $19.99 house for ds for his bday- which is in November for goodness sakes.. cannot believe the craze of this thing.. sad thing is he has a real hamster that he loves so Im not sure why he wants a fake one
