OMG You will never guess what I got at last nights holiday party!!!

They aways have gifts they raffle off at our party. A couple of years ago I won a $50 gift card to home depot which I was thrilled to get as it was the top prize. Well since then they pretty much closed up most of our building and shipped off our warehouse to IN. Then moved our pushasing group to main office. Which pretty much only left about 30 of us. Things were scaled back quite a bit.

Last night the were raffling off the gifts all of which were Gift Cards to Dicks sporting goods. local Wegman food store and some Barnes and Noble gc's. Well they got to only one gift left and I pretty much had given up hope. When they annouced that they were now raffling off a B&N Nook. Yeah right that I was going to win that, and much to my amazement they called my name. Me, Ann, Poochie whatever you want to call me. OMG a Nook, I won a Nook. I was so excited as I was trying to convnice my DH how he should buy me one without success.

So now I sitting here charging it before I can go off to B&N to get it registered thru their wifi system.

So anyone who can offer some tips on their Nooks they have. It may not be the new color one. But who cares I am sooooooo excited.

wow, congratulations! that's a great prize! DD13 and i got nooks for Christmas, and we LOVE them! while you're at B&N, you might check out their covers. i've got the sinclair cover, and i love it! soft, black leather on the outside and cream leather on the inside. DD13 has a red, patent leather cover with a cream suede interior, and she's so thrilled with it, lol, red is "her" color. i also bought DD a booklight to use with hers, but so far, i've been the only one to use it, lol.

that's great!! I love my Nook!! Make sure you search for free audio books on B&N, you'll find some good ones and some samples so make sure you read the description well to see which is which.
Also make sure you check out the discounted books, I rarely pay more then $5 for my books.
get a cover, and I have a clip light as well, I rarely use the light but it's nice when I need it.

Congrats!!! I got a Nook for Christmas. I chose to keep the regular one even though DH offered to get me the color one b/c I heard the regular one is good for reading outside. I got a Javaedge flip cover

You don't need to go to a B & N store to register it. I did it all at home. I set up a B&N account via the website. Then all I had to do was register it via the website. Read through the directions in the box- very very simple and no trip to the store necessary. Think about it what about people that live overseas or far from a store? Charging should only take a few minutes - mine only takes about a half hour to fully charge.

What a wonderful prize.
