OMG what a Poly rate!!!

I just got a call from CRO...we were suppose to be arriving at POR on May 3 - 10th, but since we paid for a King room - with the POFQ closing - causing an overflow of people, they can not guarantee it...

After all the choices given, I asked if there was a deal at the Poly, there was...the CM offered us an upgrade to the Poly Garden View for $139 plus tax!!!!!!

Doing the SUPER happy dance!!!

The moral of my story? As I've told people many times before; ALWAYS wait for CRO to call you...

I've NEVER heard of such a rate at the Poly...anyone know if crowds are super low???

WHOA! That rate is UNREAL!! I would've snapped it up too - almost makes me wish I had booked at PO in order to get a chance at the same deal!! I've always wanted to stay at the Polynesian but since we are DVC members we've always gone with one of those resorts. Have fun - I may just suck it up and make a cash ressie at Poly next time (albeit I'm sure at a higher price LOL)!

As for ANY guy in the elevator who paid the rack rate of $344 at the Poly - sounds like he needs a new Disney Travel Agent; and I happen to know one..

x5 - that's what's bizarre...I wasnt even booked at POFQ - I was booked at POR?!? But they couldnt guarantee the King bed that I paid for because of the overflow...I suggest not to cash points - that's a rip-off...ends up costing near double...

I had posted earlier that I wondered if that would happen....I thought it might..... I am going to POR 6/1-6/9 I haven't heard anything yet.... I was on with CRO last night booking my 1/3/04 trip to Pop Centry & we spoke about my 6/1 ressie & she made no offering to me they know I need Aligator Bayou (trundle bed section) just in case my son comes ...he will be the 5th person in the room...... I wonder what will end up???? I will wait & see... if nothing no biggie.... I am not looking ..... just wondering.... I am happy to stay there.....

Congrats! That's the same rate we got in December during the closing of CBR. I was ECSTATIC by the time I got off the phone with CRO, so I definitely know how you feel!

I am actually somewhat disappointed; as I have always wanted to try POR and have yet to do so...love POFQ, and I've heard some wonderful things about the Riverside. IMHO - you can't beat the boatride to DTD.

Keep in mind - this CM told me that half the POR is ALSO under construction as of May 3 - this was news to me, so they may end up moving more people then you think!

You know - you're right! I have heard that POR is very pretty. I stayed at POFQ (back when POR was Dixie Landings and POFQ was (I think) called just PO) and remember thinking it was pretty neat but that next time I wanted to try Dixie Landings. But there's always next time right!!
