I had to share my excitement with everyone because my family just does the joy that Disney brings me! My DH called tonight to finish book our first trip as not only DVC members, but also the first trip my DH, DD, and I will be taking just the three of us!! :cool1:My DH and I have not been away anywhere alone-not even over night-since out honeymoon! :woohoo:

We just book 2 days in a studio at BCV for July!!!! We are very excited! After the two days my mom, dad, sister, BIL, and niece, brother, SIL, and aunt will be joining us for 14 days (parents points and some ours but mostly parents) at Kidani!:dance3:

Sooooo we have never stayed at the BCV. What are your favorite things about the resort????

Congrats on that score! If it were me, I'd enjoy a couple of days at the pool. It is July, and it will be hot. Since you have two weeks to enjoy the parks after this mini-getaway, I would relax and enjoy the time with just "your family". SAB is great, and you can just relax. In the evenings, stroll over to the BW and watch the performers, rent a surrey bike, etc. Definitely eat at Beaches and Cream - even if you just go in for dessert! Spend the two days enjoying the resort area, then you'll be ready to tackle the parks with the extended family. Enjoy!!

I loved how close it was to Epcot. It took about 5 minutes from the room to go in to the gate. One night, we left our room at around 8:45 pm for the 9:00 fireworks show. When it was over, we were back in the room in 10 minutes.

I also loved out peaceful it was. We didn't use the big pool--DD was just not interested and neither was I. I used the villas pool and it was so quiet and relaxing. I hung out in it for like 2 or 3 hours for the few days we were there last summer.

:)Very happy for you! We were in a 2br at BCVs last May and just loved it. I highly recommend having dinner or breakfast at Cape May Cafe. It is always a must do for us even when we are not staying in the boardwalk area. Just enjoy the resort and the convenience of being close to two parks. Have fun!!

Congrats...we love the BCV & BWV area....would suggest Flying Fish as a nice place for a dinner for 2...walking or renting a bicycle around the boardwalk...relaxing by the pool....enjoy

I think all the PP have pretty much covered it all. I agree Flying Fish is perfect for a nice dinner. It is pretty much our favorite resturant and we always eat there. SAB is a great pool, but will be crowded in the summer. If you are looking for low key one of the other pools is best. The proximity to EPCOT cannot be beat. Of course Beaches and Cream is a must and the Boardwalk will provide plenty of entertainment of all kinds. Congrats on getting the BCV and enjoy your trip, it sounds wonderful. :goodvibes

1. SAB (best pool EVER!)
2. Walk to Epcot - love the path and the music - very romantic
3. There is a nice room (Drawing Room) that we would stop by and just hang out for a bit. There was never anyone in there and it has a small TV that is always showing something Disney! :thumbsup2
4. S'Mores on the beach

Oh now you have me wishing I was there NOW!!! ;)

Congrats! I just booked BCV at 7 months and was thrilled as well. Have a great time there and a great time planning!

Congrats! You will not be disappointed! I love that place!:thumbsup2
