I guess I didn't really think about the podcast team being able to see my FB posts when I friended all of you. Or just assumed that the odds of any of you actually reading something I posted (out of the 2000 or so FB friends most of you have) was pretty low. Thanks for making my day, T!
Anyone curious what the post was about? I'll tell you anyway. Dh was going through an old photo album/scrapbook his dad made of a trip they (dh's parents) took to WDW back in 1992. Dh's dad had included their park tickets, a "Four Day Super Pass" (good for all 3 parks!). Dh casually pointed out that they didn't even use the last day on the ticket.
I just about knocked over my chair when I jumped up and yelled, "those tickets might still be good!" I went to Cheshire Figment's awesome ticket FAQ and sure enough, the one day left on these passes (which his parents did not sign--thanks MIL and FIL!) should still be good for admission.
What really amused me was the price of the ticket. It was $118 for what was essentially a 4 day non-expiring parkhopper. Today, gate price for a 1 day parkhopper is $120, and a 4 day non-expiring parkhopper is $373. Hmm, maybe I should have been less amused and more upset when I did the math on how much prices have increased over the past 20 years.
