It won't be the same without ya!!

I don't know, but the original trade was for Matt Clement.

Sox are getting Orlando Cabrera SS of the Expos and Doug Mientkiewicz 1st of the Twins in return.

Okay, Clement was not part of the deal. It's on Fox sports. It's a multi team deal. It looks like the Cubs lost Gonzalez and Beltran.

THANK GOD!!!!!!! I'm a huge red sox fan, but I cannot stand Nomah. Never have, never will. I about jumped up and done when I found out we got rid of him. It's about time. ::yes::

I love Nomar but I honestly think that he had to go. He's not the Nomar that we once knew. The kid who seemed to play the game just for the love of it. ( and a few million dollars). I guess he's made it quite clear for sometime now that he didn't want to be in Boston. He was "insulted" by a contract that would have given him 15 million dollars a year. He's been pouting since the almost A Rod trade. He's distanced himself from the team. He's a free agent at the end of the season and it was obvious that he wasn't going to stay.

Don't get too excited Cubbies fans......... you may only have him for a few short months.

Yeah, I agree he has not been himself this year, nor for that matter has the team, they have not seemed to gel like last year. I really also agree that this whole season, with all the trade rumors and Nomar not taking the $$ while he had the chance last year put him in a spot that the front office was looking for a way to let him go. Still makes me a little sad, he "is" a Boston player. I felt awful when Mo went, and look where he is, playing NO WHERE right now....so we'll see what happens with Nomar. And you know, how many times do players get traded and at some point end back up with their home teams...never can tell:D

Its ok that some of you don't care for him, but I happened to like him and really, wouldn't feel upset if Pedro left, he to me is way overpaid for what he has been producing here lately...JMHO...;)

Hmmm...I love Pedro. Or perhaps I should say I did. I afree as he has NOT been producing. He's no longer the Cy Young we used to see...I think his time as passed. I no longer care if they trade him. Someone I think they really need to unload this year is Derek Lowe. That guy is HORRIBLE. I have no idea what happened. He had 2 good years...and now he is in the toilet. I think we need to focus more on getting some pitching in here, than infielders. ::yes::

Oh boy, do I agree with you! I think the acquisitions (sp? sorry) we got will be good, a SS and 1st base (where does that leave Kevin??), but overall, I think we need pitching more than anything. I used to feel so confident with Pedro on the mound, but anymore, its like "please throw a da*n strike" and not a big fat juicy one:p

Derek seems like a good kid, and I just think he lets his mind play too many games...we know he can be productive, just needs to get his head our of his bu** and do what we can do.

Maybe what happened today will be the thing that sparks them all to get it together, especially after the newness of it wears off. And just for the record, agree with me or not...I love Johnny Damon, (except for the hair) he is da man! (for me anyway, and of course I like Kevin M. and B. Mueller) Pokey needs to get better too, he did a great job early on.
