Okay....there has been more than enough sarcasm, close to name calling, and argumentativeness here.
We all agree that the OP cut it too close...not by her own choice but by life's curveballs that are sometimes thrown our way. We have all been held up, caught in traffic. We all realize that the rules are written down in each airline's website. Is 'for better service' a good term? Well, I guess it could mean that better service means actually getting on your flight, but I'm not going to argue that question of 'what does Delta mean'.
This thread is going noplace fast. There has been no addtl info put into play. About all that can be said, has been said. Hopefully, a valuable lesson has been learned here. Not finding fault with anyone..not the OP not with Delta...just the planets aligning in the wrong way for good air travel that day.
