Omg been in contact with a COVID family member
cruising in may
am positive as of now
but hope to stay
someone told me you can’t have medical insurance under 90 days having COVID
tell me it’s not the case
I am paid in full what will I do ?
i am beyond worried as of now will re test tomorrow but stressed out

don’t have they answer to your concerns but sure will hope you test negative by doing another test .

Did you already buy travel insurance for your May cruise? If so, check that documentation. Plans vary widely in what is covered. It's possible the person who told you that meant that you can't buy insurance once you already have the issue needing to be covered (in this case, Covid), but even then I would question it because a person can become ill with covid more than once in 90 days.

Take a deep breath! Now, is your cruise within 90 days of your test tomorrow? If so then you can claim 90 day recovered status which will waive testing at the port the morning of the cruise. To claim this exemption through Safe Passage you must upload a positive PCR test (not at home rapid antigen test) which shows your name, date of test, name of lab, etc. AND a doctor's note stating you had Covid and are now recovered and clear to travel. So when you are recovered in a week or so make an appointment with your doctor and ask for a note.

DCL knows some people can test positive up to 90 days from infection so they offer this exemption for people who have had Covid with 90 days of sailing.
