OMG Menards this morning was nuts.

Menards had huge door buster deals (DVD recorders $80, DVD players 18, personal DVD players $78, snow boards $10, etc) and my dad wanted to take a look at one thing and the lines to check out went from the front to the middle of the store and must have been a 2 hour wait atleast. We looked at each other and left.

Luckily we went to the mall first and got what we wanted and checked out really quickly.

My Mom wants to go back out this afternoon so we are all going with her, but I am so glad my shopping is done and wrapped.

We were at Toys R Us this morning. It wasn't bad at all. But the Wal Mart next door looked packed beyond believe.

Nik's Mom,

I ment to take that off. I'm waiting to go until later in the year. I always seem to use up a large chunk of vacation time early in the year and have very little left for Nov and Dec to get away for a day or so. So I decided regardless of the deal I got for Jan, I will postpone it for Dec of next year so I have a nice nice long trip to look forward to.

I made the huge mistake of thinking that Menard's would be ok around 3:00 on Friday. I really needed an extension cord so we could plug in one of the Christmas trees--wanted to get them all decorated and it's hard to do it without making sure the lights are ok first.

Oh, my heavens. Even that late in the day, it was a madhouse. I had it easier because I didn't need a cart--scooted in and got my extension cords. The cashier laughed and said I was the only person she'd waited on all day who'd spent less than $5!

I had never seen menards that bad. You would think they were bestbuy or walmart by the looks of the parking lot. The nice thing was that it made it much easier to get in and out of the mall.
