After months of anticipation, we checked in yesterday. Have to go to breakfast with DH, but will post later. All I can say is this place does not live up to my expectations. IT SURPASSES THEM!!! The view. The Shower. The View. The Bed. The View. And the Top of the World is the best of all. Except the VIEW from my window. I can almost lean out and kiss Space Mountain. DH is making bets on how long before we call our guide. More later. DH needs coffee.

Are either of you planning to do a trip report with photos. We won't be able to stay at BLT until March. Therefore we are avidly soaking up everyone else's experience.

I was there last week and I agree with you 120%. I thought BLT was wonderful.

We check in tomorrow afternoon. I don't care if I look at the parking lot from my standard view studio, we are just very excited to be staying at the new property.

okay. don't know what is happening. just typed ANOTHER lengthy post and when I tried to post it, the system said I was not logged in. frustration. and now we have to leave. I don't know if it took so long my login timed out. I will try to reconstruct later in small bits. sigh!

First bit. brought work2play's chart with me, put it out on the checkin desk, and the CM and I used it to pick the perfect room for us! work2play, you rock! all the CMs at the checkin desk were blown away by your chart. our room is a 1 br, floor 12, even number. we can see both the magic kingdom and bay lake. parking lot is hardly noticeable, and it would be even less so if we were further along the curve toward the lake. THANK YOU work2play!!!

Weird problem- might want to try typing it up in Word, Wordpad, Notepad, some other program on your PC and then login to here and copy and paste.

I wanna' go HOME; I so need a vacation. Staying at VLW (studio) for 3 nights Oct. 23rd & then 6 nights in a LV studio in the BLT Nov. 29th, then MK studio Jan. 30th for 6 nights and my parents joining us in a SV studio Feb. 1st for 3 nights, so I'll get to take pictures form all three views! If only I had a time machine so I didn't have to wait so long...

Woo Hoo! I am sooo happy for you, that is an awesome room! I would never have thought to plop the map down at checkin, but I will now! That is the room I want when I get to visit again in Feb 2010!! Pictures, pictures, we want pictures! My studio days are over, and I can't wait to stay at BLT in a 1 BR.

okay. another sound bite. The room. Again, we are in a one bedroom, lake view theoretically, but we can see the castle from our living room window/wall. I am unabashedly in love with this place. It suits us right down to the ground! The living room/kitchen feels larger than the same area at Boardwalk, where we usually stay. Everything in this unit looks brand new, as if no one has stayed here during the month BLT has been open. Everything works, and the bed is the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. The shower is awesome. Rain head in the ceiling, and a needle spray on the side. Love the banquette - I can sit sideways propped up against the end, sip my coffee, and look out that awesome window/wall at the lake. heaven! lounging on the couch, I can see space mountain. and if i raise the curtain on the door to the balcony off the lr, i can see the castle. bliss. off to epcot now. more later.

oops. one more thing, for fellow founding members. there are little rust spots on some of the tiles, including ours. spoke to a CM about that, and he said that they are planning to replace all of them with something that won't rust!
