So.
My best friend in the whole wide world's grandpa died last night.
But she was in Washington D.C. at a conference thingy.
I figured that her parents called and told her, but they didn't.
My grandma told me about it.
So...
I called today to tell her I was sorry for her loss and I asked when the visitation was so I could come and give her a big hug.
One problem...
She didn't know he had died yet.
I was horrified.
She was really close to her grandpa.
He lived in walking distance from her house.
She was so confused.
She had no clue what I was talking about.
Come to find out, her parents didn't want to tell her until she got home so they didn't ruin her trip.
I feel sooooooo horrible.
She isn't mad at me by no means.
I mean, we're besties for life.
But I'm still crying.
Should I feel bad about this?
I just need to let this out.

It'll be fine.
