OMG I just got a free trip to Disney World

Tonight is my third night of wrk and would normally be my last. However, the other night nurse tech that works is young and wanted t go out for New Year's Eve so I agreed to cover for her. She is really awesome. We never work with each other. She usually works weekends and I work Tues.-Thurs. She covers for me ...A LOT. In fact, she is covering for me ALL next week while I am at Disney.

We don't have many patients tonight. Just 3. Normally I could go home, but since Vanessa is covering for me next week instead of me taking vacation time I won't get paid. Therefore, here I am at wor with only 3 patients. I have literally done nothing all night long. Tomorrow will be busy though. We will have 11. I think. I hope.

We are definitely in count down mod. Hang on, I actually have to do some work.

Okay, that took 30 seconds. Anyhoo, we are, as of this exact second, 3 days, 5 hours, 49 minutes, and 50 seconds from lift off. Woo Hoo! We are actually leaving town earlier than that, but that is our countdown for the plane from Dallas.

Dear Friend is looking at renting a couple of scooters from a rental agency. forget which one, butshe can get them for $30/day vs. $50 in the parks. They will also drop them off at the house for us.

Not much else as happened. We had Christmas with my family. they can be a little, hmmm... how shall I say it... overbearing? I was a bit worried, but actually it turned out great. We had it at my house and there is no room for anyone to stay with us. My brothers family stayed with his sister in law who lives in town and my parents stayed with my grandparents who live about an hour and a half away. Everyone showed up at 10:30. Dinner was on the table by 11:30. It was eaten and cleaned up by 12:45.Then we opened our presents and everyone was out the door by 2:30. I took my nap and was at work by 6:30. So there you have it.

My parents picked up the kids Wednesday. They get to spend 10 days at Grandma and Grandpa's while Mommy goes to Disney World. They're homeschooled so they couldn't stay at home because my husband has to go back to work. (He's off this week..and quite bored with the kids gone and me sleeping all day so I can work all night)

I have quite a bit to get done Saturday before we leave. I finally got enough landry done that I could pack. I bought a space saver bag and packed all my clothes. I still have to get a suitcase down from the attic. I haven't put together the first aid kit yet. I also need to go by the bank. I can't quite figure out how much money I want to take with me. Hubby told me if I wanted shirts I ahd to make them myself. Ugh. I am so not a techy so no new shirts for me.

I don't really have an update. I was just bored at work.

"Hooray for Disney World! The sights, the smells, the sounds of Disney World. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto too! Its a grand adventure, I'm goin soon!"... :cool1: Well, this is it! I'm leaving in 2 hours for the drive to Dallas where we will catch our plane tomorrow morning, bright and early, at 6 a.m. I can't wait to see the Main Street Electrical Parade tomorrow night! Hard to believe that I'm closing in on 24 hours of actually being inside the Magic Kingdom.

Hip, Hip, Hooray.:cheer2: Its hard at this point to not let the nerves take over. I LOVE planning trips to Disney. This time I'm traveling with a friend and her family. While we are good friends, I've never met her extended family. Meeting new people always makes me horrifically nervous because I never make a good first impression (Nerves only compound the matter.) So I'm trying to be calm- and trying to remember to keep my mouth shut! As you can tell from here, I talk, whether anyone is listening or not!:rotfl2:

Anyway, if I can just sit back, relax, and enjoy being in Disney, it'll be a great trip! Thanks for reading y'all. There will be a TR when I get back in a week, but I doubt I will even try to do anything while I'm in the other World! :rotfl:
