Thank you so much for all the information I will definitely check out the NY accommodation as my dad might be coming with us now too so that would be handy.

Was thinking of staying at Niagra to save on NY accommodation prices but if there isnt alot to do and the NY accommodation is a good price might just be worth a day trip to Niagra.

Just my 2 cents. Niagara Falls are a solid 7-8 hour drive each way from Manhattan so you'd definitely have to organise a tour that includes an air flight if you were wanting to do a day tour. It is lovely to see but if you're not planning on seeing upstate NY or Toronto then an organised flight tour is the way to go. The Pod Hotels (Pod 39/Pod 51) are relatively cheap for NYC standards and were nice hotels to stay at.

Yeah I did Niagara as a day trip from Toronto. That would probably be the best way to go about it but only if you're interested in seeing Toronto. It's pretty expensive too and tbh it was one of the least exciting stops on my trip!
