i am the worst saver of money ever !! but the holiday is keeping me so focused just reached the £1000 mark ( not including my change tins)

me dp and the kids have all agreed to add our xmas money to the fund so im excited to see how much we will have then

the dp still wont let me book anything for sept 2013 as hes very practical and been self employed he worrys about commiting to having to pay it off so basicly im not allowed to book anything untill ALL the money is saved !!

long way to go still but im very excited

it has taken me since march to save so much but we had real trouble with credit card debt have paid off 4k of that also since march so im seeing an increase monthly in what we can save as the debt goes down :)

You have done well then, paying off debt on top too! well done :thumbsup2

Well done you :thumbsup2 Sounds like a very sensible DP you have there too; good on him :goodvibes

I remember the days when I used to write down every penny I spent and was so proud of myself for saving up for a foreign holiday by being very careful. I felt a real sense of pride and achievement, so good luck getting together the rest of the cash you need :)

i have been writing everything down since august !! lol then make a spread sheet it was amazing and quite shocking how much i spent on things like bus fare etc or just buying a sandwich whilst in town or a drink in a cafe was quickly adding up to £50+ a month

im a bit traumatised this month that we have spent £700 in the supermarket !! but the oh made us go to makro so i literally have enough meat , chicken, pork chops n toilet roll to last me the next 9month
