OMG.....Ben Hendrickson.."HAL MUNSON"..COMMITS SUICIDE

On YAHOO now they are posting that AS THE WORLD TURNS, Emmy award winning, HAL MUNSON killed himself.

They found him in his bed on Long Island with a single gun shot wound to the head.

OMG!

I thought it was a heart attack. He was 55 years old.

NO, not at all. Just a very short article stating he was found MONDAY JULY 3rd dead in his bed with a gun shot wound to the head.

So sad! The picture on Yahoo was Ben all smiling holding his EMMY from 2003.

He will be on ATWT through July 12th....HIS LAST AIR DATE!

I heard that he had not recovered from the death of his mother.

It is very sad....I also heard that ATWT indicated that they would not be recasting the role.....they mentioned because of their filming schedule, his last air date will be July 12.

Thanks for the update....and my wording of that post seems awful...seems as though I was saying he killed himself because they were "renewing his contract"....did you read it that way....

Instead I meant to say exactly what you said..that they won't be recasting the role AND that he would be out of work....

Just so sad...to kill himself...I just saw him the other day sitting at the bedside of his "daughter" on the show as SHE lay there dying??? Just amazing turn of events. Deep depression I am guessing.
