Old uk chart listings?

Hi all,

My close friend is 40 in december and we've been discussing an 80's themed party, more specifically a 17-again party!! So as she was 17 on 5th Dec 1985 I would like to find a listing of the top 20 or top 40 of that week.

I've tried to google it but can only find the number ones, or the best selling singles of that month.

So is there any of you clever dissers out there that would know where I could find this info??

Also any great retro ideas for food/drinks/clothes etc would be great!!

Thanks for making me feel old!! i was 22 in 1985 and i loved wearing my ra ra skirt!! also had the white high heels as well as the bat wing top

All those clothing items you list seem quite current to me amazing what comes around goes around.

For eighties food, may I suggest:

Prawn Cocktail
Black Forest Gateau
Pineapple and cheese chunks on cocktail sticks.
Vol-a-vents...


Or is all that more from the seventies?

Thanks guys, great ideas!! That chart listing takes me back!!

I've been looking on ebay and rah rah skirts and leg warmers are in abundance!!!! There's also pink wayfarer shades, so prob need big hair, scrunchies and neon make up to complete the look!! I'm thinking of madonnna-who's that girl era!! Ha ha!

I'm getting some retro sweets from a shop in Loftus, and saw archers schnapps and taboo (!!) in the supermarket yesterday!

My 40th is next june by the way so this will be a practise run!!
