I just pulled out all of my guide books etc. from the first time we went to WDW in 1992 and tucked into the MK guidebook is my touring plan for that day as taken from the Official Guide to WDW which was:

Day 1
Go to Disneyana Collectibles to make a 12:15 reservation for Diamond Horseshoe Jamboree.
20,000 Leagues Under The Sea
Mr Toad's Wild Ride
Snow White's Adventure
It's A Small World
Haunted Mansion
Hall of Presidents
Liberty Square Riverboat (if time before lunch)
LUNCH and check entertainment schedule
Tom Sawyer Island
Enchanted Tiki Birds
Swiss Family Treehouse
SHOPPING
Walt Disney Story

Day 2
Splash Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Jungle Cruise
Pirates of Caribbean (I have Tiki Birds and Treehouse added here, which might have been repeat visits or more likely we missed them on the first day)
Country Bear Jamboree
WDW Railroad to Starland
Mickey's Starland Show
Magic Journeys (A 3D film apparently but I don't really remember it)
Check Entertainment schedule
Skyway to Tomorrowland
WEDWAY People Mover
Carousel of Progress
Dreamflight (Don't remember this one :confused3 )
Mission to Mars (Don't remember this one either :confused3 )
American Journeys
SHOPPING

In terms of the "big rides" it isn't that much different from the touring plans I've got for this year!

I have also been trying to work out why we didn't do Jaws at Universal and now I know - it didn't exist then :rotfl2:

David, we went for the first time in 1992, too.

I wouldn't have known that Jaws wasn't there in 1992 if you hadn't mentioned it - I'd have just assumed I didn't see it that first trip because it was broken down (as Splash Mountain was, much to my relief!), or I just didn't fancy it. I have vague recollections of Magic Journeys. For some reason, whenever I hear this mentioned I think of the Kodak True Colors pre-show for Honey I Shrunk the Audience. The funny thing is, I'm pretty sure this was at Epcot, but you seem to have it down during a Magic Kingdom day. :confused3

I have a good recollection of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, mainly because we have some video footage, but also because we often quote the CM's departing shot, "Take small children firmly by the hair..."

Enchanted Tiki Room was, if I'm not mistaken, very much under the old management. ;)

Mickey's Starland Show - I had forgotten all about this, but it's slowly coming back to me now you mention it.

I remember exactly where both Mission to Mars and Dreamflight were situated, but not much about the attractions themselves. There are some facts here. Interestingly, Mission to Mars sounds pretty close in premise to Mission:Space. American Journeys means nothing to me at all.

Of course, you are going to see some changes. Animal Kingdom, Islands of Adventure and CityWalk spring immediately to mind! Have fun. :goodvibes
