Old Tickets/New Tickets Question

I have an old ticket with 3 days left on it. DH has one with 2 days left. When Orbitz had the buy 3 days, get 2 days free I bought two of those. Would I be better off using our old tickets this trip and adding one day to DH's 2 day ticket and saving our tickets purchased from Orbitz? I just thought if we use the old ones it will be less that I have to hold onto and keep track of. We were going to upgrade our new tickets to non-expiring after we used one day. We plan to go to the parks three days only this trip. Thanks for the advice.

I assume your old tickets were non expiring (if not,you can't use them at all). You cannot add any days to those old tickets though. All upgrades must be done within 14 days of first using the ticket, even if they are non expiring.

Yes, they were 10 day non-expiring. Thanks for the information.

While it is true you cannot actually add days to your husband's current ticket, you could buy a single day one park ticket for him. If you only need three days of parks this would be good. If you need more than that then you would buy a new set of tickets and save these for another time.

If you do buy a single one day ticket, you could buy it for the the day you are visiting the slightly less expensive parks (anything except MK) and use your already purchased ticket for MK day(s).

A single day ticket is $$ but likely you would have to do it at some point anyway. However, if you sometimes stop by for just one day I would save NE tickets for that purpose.

to OP, when you bought the Orbitz tickets, wan't it a voucher, and to purchase, you input your dates of travel? What happens if you decide to ue your old tickets this trip, and try to save the vouchers? Then the pickup dates will be wrong, and from what I can read on their terms, that voids them. I am wondering about this detail myself.

OP here. I didn't think about that. I just happen to have with me at work the Pre-Paid Confirmation for the tickets. It shows purchase date of 2/22/14 and shows "Valid Period" and says Valid for 14 days from first use. Under terms and conditions, it says "...Redemption of this Will Call Certificate is not valid until 72 hours after purchase date."

I don't see anything that says it has to be used on the date I put in for my trip, and honestly, I don't remember if I had to put that in, but maybe I did.
I'm still not sure what I will do, but I might try to upgrade to non-expiring if I can. I should be able to find that out when I turn this confirmation in at Will Call. We are arriving on May 4th.
