I'm jealous. I tried Nutri System and only lost 12 lbs and I have a lot more weight to lose than you ever even thought of losing!! Of course I guess stress could be an inhibitor! Lol!! Congrats on the weight loss. Have a Sunken Treasure (or two).
 
We really like it there. We are up there for 5 days in a couple of weeks. We always stay at the Anchorage By The Sea. My kids love it there!

My friend always stays at Anchorage by the Sea. We stayed at the Gazebo Inn for our anniversary last year. Beautiful B&B and the breakfast was fantastic. Also a nice little walk down to the beach - although, I do wish the small section of Rt 1 that we had to walk down had had a sidewalk. Thankfully the area off the side of the road was wide enough for walking without traffic being a problem, but just having a sidewalk would have been nicer.
 
A day trip to Ogunquit, Maine would be awesome. We visit there frequently. Only an hour from us on the North Shore. Great beach, great places to eat, nice little shops.

Great place for a day trip.

My thoughts exactly! Have vacationed there every year since I was a little girl many years ago, actually heading up on Saturday! You could even do a cocktail cruise after dinner/beach....the place is a gem. Gorgeous!
 
Just wanted to say that in two weeks I'll be at Disney! And in two weeks and one day, I'll be checking to the Beach Club! I cannot wait! :cool1:

Way to go :thumbsup2. I am 35 lbs lighter since the last time we went, just hoping not to gain to much back while we are there. Hopefully with all the walking I should be ok.

I keep having Disney dreams also! My husband thinks I'm crazy :rotfl:

Thanks! It took me 8 weeks (and I actually cheated a little - after the first few weeks I cut down on the protein shakes and extras).

Stressful times are not the best times to change anything.

I am a big fan of nutri sysem though, especially the frozen meals.
I went on it after my older son lost 30 lbs on it!

The real motivator for me were the pictures from the BC/YC Dis Meet. I saw how much heavier I was in the second picture and didn't want the third to be even bigger!

I'll miss you there this year but know that you will be with us in spirit!

Big YES to the Sunken Treasures and some of the Gran Marner slushies!

I have a question for you, did you exercise while on Nutri System? I've started working out everyday to get ready for my trip to the BC at the end of September and I've just cut back immensely on my food intake. Great time to do it with all the fresh fruits and vegetables. Since I'm in the 50+ group, I've found it so so much harder to lose.:sad2: Just wondering . . . :confused3

The laundry is next to the quiet pool and I sat outside with my cell phone and surfed the web while the wash was going and then I did a late night tour of both resorts (as well as finding the secret entrance in the Beach Club!)

Hmm....secret entrance? I must know more! I once heard about a small gated walkway that is the very closest way to Epcot- is that the secret entrance you refer to? I'm intrigued :scratchin
 
Hey All!

We arrived today. We reserved an garden view room and were upgraded to the Concierge LEVEL!:cool1::cool1: Here's the thing the clerk at the YC asked if we would like to stay Lake View or Standard view CL. We took the CL. The view isn't as nice but the perks seem really great!

It's raining now, but everyone at the Yacht Club are superb. Everyone is just so nice. We just love it here. :love::love:

:lmao: if I had only brought my camera that night! I think I may be a budding alcoholic because when I think about it, the idea of drinking scotch whiskey straight up by myself in a bar inside the Yacht Club IS one of the highlights of my trip and usually "drinking alone" is a sign...

I'm also doing nutri system. As soon as my life slows a bit i plan on adding in some regular exercise. I am down 8 pounds in three weeks and hope to be down twenty by the time I hit Disney at the end of sept.

I have lost 30 pounds since November (80 pounds since my highest weight, which was actually pre-babies :guilty: ), and of one my biggest worries is gaining weight while at Disney. It will be the biggest test of my new "healthy lifestyle" so far--for sure!!

One of the things I do now is run...I am running 3x per week, and I have my first 10k this coming Sunday. :cheer2: I enjoy the running and how it helps me keep the weight off. Is it crazy to think I might want to run one or two days while at Disney??? I know there is already a TON of walking involved...I wonder if I'm going to kill myself if I add in a morning run or two? :confused3

Happy day after the holiday, everyone!! PS: Teena--that picture of you on the horse at the dude ranch is AWESOME!!

The first few weeks I used the treadmill - about 2 or 3 miles a day. After I lost the first 10 lbs. I got lazy and life got in the way so I haven't used it too much. I also started taking the raspberry ketone pills that Dr. Oz recommended to speed up your metabolism. I'm also in teh 50 plus age category. Never had to worry about weight at all until my metabolism took a nose dive around 40 and then I went through menopause . . ugh!
 
Can you believe I'm still switch ADRs around?

Just found out recently that Yachtsman's has a surf and turf now so I added that.

I've just got to figure out one ADR to cut so the kids can go to Disney Quest and eat at WPE. So hard!
 
Hey Robin, you can throw a Grey Goose Slushie in there for good measure for me! One of the things I love the most about BC/YC is being able to just walk into Epcot at a moment's notice.

Thanks! Congratulations on your loss! Its amazing how much better I feel after the relatively small amount I have lost. I am back to pre-fertility treatment weight, which was my first goal. Now another 13 to my wedding weight. From there we shall see. I can't wait to really start exercising. Both my kids have special needs so between doctors, pt, ot, speech and preschool for one, I am booked. Then add in our crazy decision to move in August! and all my free time is taken up. But starting in Sept both kids are in school in the morning. So my hope is 3 days a week to walk/jog around the park.
Here's to having to buy a whole new Disney wardrobe!

I'm not sure I'm the right person to answer this because I just happened to get lucky to find it, I think and I'm still not sure that I actually found it. Anyway, if you want to read more about it, you should check out the first couple of pages of this thread. There's a detailed explanation of it. It's very convenient, especially for those staying at Beach Club (which I wasn't).

That's what DH and I like best about staying at BC or YC - being able to walk over to EPCOT on the spur of the moment!
