OLD THREAD: 2012 Beach and Yacht FAQ, Part 2- May, June and July DON'T POST HERE!

You are NOT crazy!! We are 42 days out and I already did the school supply shopping! We will return 2 days before school starts so had to do it before. Still need to get them a few new uniform shirts, and new backpacks but otherwise we are set for school. Hoping to go through the clothing in another couple weeks to see if anything else is needed. Seems like I always go get everyone new socks before vacation so that is on the list :goodvibes

Glad to hear I'm not alone!! ;)

I just feel better starting early. And I must say that this plan has always worked. I don't think I have forgotten one thing on any of our trips. I do need to get their school supply lists so I can get that knocked out soon. My parents take the kids shopping every year for "Christmas in July" and took care of most of their school clothes so that is done. Just the packing stuff and I'll be all set.

Thanks for letting me know I'm not crazy!!:rotfl:

I'm sorry for your loss and firsthand know what you are going through. We lost my father on June 3rd to ALS....he was just shy of 67 years young.
Give your father some time, and then bring him along on a family trip. Trust me, the Mouse is good medicine :goodvibes

We lost my step dad to ALS in April. He was only 59. Much a terrible disease. I've never seen anything like it in my life. My mom has been through more than any person should have to endure... We are bringing her along with us to BC next month. Hoping to cheer her up and find some fun.

:wave2:  I hope you have a wonderful time and your mom has a relaxing, peaceful, fun visit with your family!

14 days for us!

I'd like to request not to be on the first floor. While we found it convenient I thought that the room always felt kind of damp. Should I call and add this to our reservation or wait until online check in?

I'm over 3 1/2 months out and I have an ongoing packing list.

Now we don't have kids, so I don't have to deal with the back to school stuff, but when I was at Target over the weekend, I saw their stuff out and I had to walk away because I always have the urge to go back to school shopping.

Want to send out a quick apology to any new posters here on the thread. Here is a generic :welcome: but sometime tonight or tomorrow I'll come through with the official welcome wagon and personally give you a howdy.

I have only had time to skim through the thread the past couple of days.

DH has taken a couple of days off and yesterday was my son's 14th BD, so we spent the day at Canobie Lake Amusement Park.

Although your have QUITE an impressive signature, you may have to arm wrestle a few people on Disboards for that Crown! LOL!! :lmao:

Oh dear Disney, please stop sending me emails about resort discounts and free dining when I can't convince my family to go back until 2014... Thank you.

Although our good friends (who we often go away for the weekend with) may have to cancel their planned August Florida trip because of work commitments (luckily the kids don't know). If they do, I might be able to convince them to come on an overlapping spring 2013 trip! DH might go for that, knowing that our kids would LOVE it. Plus he would have another golf buddy. At the moment we are thinking about Italy, but I'm a bit overwhelmed by this since I have no idea where to start. Other family members are talking about renting a huge villa as a home base and going from there, and the family IN Italy wants us to stay close to them... It's kind of taking on a life of its own and I'm not sure it is going to be much of a holiday for me, KWIM? Oh, who am I kidding, I just want to be back at the BC!!! :lmao:

Would they buy the BC with dinner every night at Epcot-Italy?????

Me too. I can't wait to get Jeanne and Lily to SAB!!!

Princess Lily now wants to be outside whenever it is light out. Mind you, it's over 100 in the shade in Vegas. So Jeanne sent me a video last night. It was sooo hot there and she was screaming to go out, so they took her baby bathtub into the front yard, filled it with water, put on a swim diaper and let her at it. She waved to the cars and had a ball. Jeanne said the whole neighborhood was laughing at her. Hopefully somebody will give her one of those small pools for her birthday next week.

I was worried about her and the heat and humidity at WDW. Guess I'll only have to worry about her Mom since Jeanne says Lily doesn't care what the temps are as long as she is one with nature!

I can't believe she's going to be one already! princess:

What about an Adventures by Disney Italy trip? I am coveting an ABD trip anywhere. My fantastic Disney travel agent is one of the top sellers of ABD and I want to do one to badly!!!!!

Oh dear Disney, PLEASE send the discount emails that Feckless doesn't want MY way!!!

My 11 year old so desperately wants to go this year. Ben is very jealous of Nate's class trip last month. He goes to the Disney website every few days and prices trips (note to self: hide credit cards) and he even prepared a Powerpoint presentation of the Top Ten Reasons We Should Go To Disney This Summer.
