Remember back in elementary school, what were some of the popular songs everyone sang?
Or what were some songs you liked?
Or made fun of?

------------

I can't remember the real version of the songs, but we always sang -

"This is how we do it. Pick your nose and eat it."
"I believe I can fly. I got shot by the FBI. All I wanted was a chicken wing, from McDonald's or Burger King. I believe I can soar. Right thru that doggy door. I believe I can fly, up to the sky."
"We will, we will rock you, sock you, pick you up and drop you. Flush you down the toilet and hope you enjoy it".

I also remember the "Lady Marmalade" song being popular on the bus. One song I remember liking was "Somewhere out there" by Our Lady Peace. I remember cause I only knew one other person who liked it, and I really didn't like her.

The Holy Trinity of 90's music: Britney, Backstreet, and N*SYNC
That's all anyone sang when I was in elementary school.

I remember that one. xD
Before I had heard it, my cousin sang it to me, and he was like "I wrote this song!"
And for the longest time, I believed him! xD

XD I had like twenty friends that said that they wrote it.

I wonder who did write it though. It has been everywhere. For eternity.

Well if ya wanna know what I learned in music class...

Everybody hates me, nobody likes me, I guess I'll go eat worms. Long ones juicy ones Fat ones greasy ones
Think I'll go eat worms.

Toe-knee nose I love you, toe knee nose.

Oh and there was...

Joy to the world, the teachers dead. We barbecued her dead. Don't worry bout the body, we flushed it down the potty, and round and round it goes, and round and round it goes.

We did that! except it was Barney instead of a teacher.

"I hate you, you hate me, let's get together and kill Barney..." The rest isn't DISappropriate. LOL, we were some baaad kids.

Anyone know that "Jingle Bells, Batman Smells, Robin laid an egg...something something..." one?

"Crashing through the snow, on a pair of broken skiis, flying through the air, crashing into trees HAHAHA snow is turning red, I think I broke my head, I flew into the hospital and this is what I said, ohhhh Applebees, Applebees, that's the place to go, better than the hospital, better than the snow.."

xD

I learned that one song with Barney too. Lol.

...Batmobile lost a wheel and Joker got away hey!

or

EDIT: I remember around 5/6th grade the "island view" was a big thing. People like "Try and guess what I'm saying." Then they'll mouth "Island view" and it sounds like they're saying "I love you" so then the person says and then the other person laughs hysterically. I never fell for it, though. =P

Our school animal was the lion.

The song was "In the jungleeeeeee the Miiiiighty jungle the liiiiiion sleeps tonighttttttt."

me and my friends used to sing the miss suzy song all the time :upsidedow
The one thats like "Miss Suzy had a steam boat, the steam boat had a bell, Miss Suzy went to heaven, the steam boat went to hell-o operator, please give me number nine..." and went on and on and on, lol.
I think I still know most of the words to it, too, haha.

OH THAT WAS A HAND GAME!

Sorry for my excitement, but hand games were banned in school.

We would chew our food and ask if a person liked seafood. If they said yes, we'd open our mouth while chewing and say "SEE! Food!". LOL

My school (it was k-8) for a very long time, our song was American Pie.
There's no reason for it, vice prinicipal liked to sing it, so he sang it at every assembly.
It still is that song, but I have no idea what year it started.

Back in the day our school was always about the Spice Girls. Everyone was into them. Even the boys, even if they didnt want to admit it. Kinda funny. Britney Spears was a bit popular for a time.
