Old Key West or Saratoga Springs?

Ahh, defeated in attempts to get lodging at GF or Poly for the second leg of a December trip, I am down to two choices (really three). On the road right now, so cannot do any meaningful research until tonight. If you had to choose between the two resorts for a mid-December stay, which would you take? Kidani is also available for the second leg, but really wanted to check out a second resort.

For the first leg of trip (3 days) we were fortunate enough to get Kidani at AKL. I had wanted GF or Poly for second leg, but we had some family issues that put the whole trip in question, so I did not get my request in fast enough. Five total in the group, me, DW, DD (19), DS (14), and my Mom. We are hitting Universal for a few days between legs.

I guess at this point closeness to the Parks and other amenities would be a factor for us on the question of where to stay (we will have a rental car). Any help/thoughts would be appreciated.

We liked OKW better, but the main reason was that we were traveling with my then 3 1/2 year old twins. The pool was better and we had a great 2 BR with a screened in porch on the ground floor. We also loved taking the boat to DDT. SSR was nice because you can walk to DDT, but it just felt a little "less Disney" to me for some reason. We LOVE AKL and are staying there again on our next trip. Personally I think it would be hard to go from AKL to one of those other 2 resorts. Have fun!

Either one is workable. Generally the rooms at OKW are bigger and require fewer points. However if I had the points I would probably opt for SSR to be within walking distance to Disney Springs.

We preferred SSR. Have stayed at both with little kids and we all like feel of SSR better

Several pools, views of DTD from congress park, waking distance or boat to DTD, many recreational options. Plus we liked the look of the room more

SSR has a number of nice pools, counter and TS restaurants and close proximity to DtD which your kids might like.
